We will receive a short briefing on our work with the community on an ecotourism project, unique in its kind, and the general use of the hostel and the trails, prior to our afternoon activity.
We started our business with a walk Ethnobotany, which will lead to the observation tower of the forest canopy (canopy) to 25 meters high, in the way we will have the opportunity to see some priceless old trees, suitable to take some pictures, wait the beautiful sunset in the primary forest interior, great to appreciate the sounds of nature, and be in touch with her, and when the sun sets, the forest becomes much more mysterious, it's time for nocturnal animals such as the monkey night, known locally as musmuqui, insects that will surprise only to see and hear much more, the famous tarantulas, spiders nocturnal night is actually start their activity.
The Suspension Bridge (Canopy) is built so you can climb easily and securely, using the stairs with handrails on each side, and rest in platforms. From the top you not only get spectacular views of the surrounding sub canopy and is also an excellent opportunity to observe birds from the canopy including parrots, toucans, parakeets and macaws.
We return to the lodge for a shower you know so you can enjoy your delicious dinner.
DAY 2 / DAY FULL LAKE SANDOVAL.
We get up at dawn to go visit the Lake Sandoval. After an early breakfast we depart to Lake Sandoval, which lies within the Tambopata National Reserve, a walk of about an hour lead to the lake shore. From here, a rowing boat will give us around the lake, to appreciate the wildlife lake at its peak of activity.
Look for turtles, coastal birds, the peculiar shanshos, and maybe even otters known as giant otters largest fresh water in the world. At one point they were extensively hunted for its fine fur, now best stocks are in the Peruvian jungle. Those seen in the lake Sandoval belong to a resident family of seven individuals, and a lone wolf.
As you approach noon, animal activity decreases, bringing with us a delicious tropical Amazon (lunch box) and then take a short break and then cool off in the majestic lake, there is a small area designated for use of this activity order to be renewed again for our journey back in time to enjoy our delicious dinner in our hostel.
Dinner. If I have an incredibly energetic campfire, watching the majestic starry night.
DAY 3 / Ecoaventuras AMAZONICAS.
A bell will wake us up very early in order to go to see dozens and sometimes hundreds of blue-headed parrots, orange cheek parrots, cobalt-winged parakeet, and sometimes even the rare Blue Headed Macaw, congregate here all clear days to ingest clay of the lick.
This congregation creates a riotous and colorful wildlife spectacle where the greens, oranges, reds and blues dance around the lick, while other individuals pecked and end, this show can last for hours. Then return to the lodge for our delicious breakfast. After an early breakfast, we take vehicle back to the city of Puerto Maldonado and from there to the airport in time for our flight back to Lima or Cusco.
