Itinerary
Day 1: 30th December
It's time to get New Year underway and say goodbye to the Big Smoke as we leave London on our luxury coach and head north to Bonnie Scotland! We arrive in Edinburgh, early evening. There's enough time for a shower and slap on the war paint (if required) before heading to our legendary HAGGiS Ceilidh, a traditional Scottish dancing event.
Day 2: New Year's Eve 2011 - Hogmanay
Explore our beautiful city on a walking tour with one of our wild and sexy local Guides! Now that you've worked up a thirst it's off to see in the Aussie and Kiwi New Year with loads of fellow Antipodeans to celebrate with. Party on or take some free time to explore the capital, head down to Princes' Street Gardens to the Winter Wonderland or get dolled up for the biggest New Year's party ever. Don't forget, when the clock strikes 12 it's your chance to kiss everyone you can get your hands on and wish them Happy Hogmanay!
Day 3: New Year's Day
No doubt there will be a few sore heads this morning but what better cure for a hangover than a Loony Dook! For the last 25 years South Queensferry has played host to this insane event and is now sponsored by HAGGiS Adventures. Hundreds of, well... loonies, take to the freezing waters of the Firth of Forth, many of them in fancy dress and all of them up for a good time. This event helps to raise thousands of pounds for charity and with the impressive Forth Bridge in the background, this obscure tradition is an event not to be missed. (Don't forget your swimmers and fancy dress. Swim caps included!).
After a 'refreshing' swim in the sea we head back to the capital where you can warm up with some glühwein at the winter markets. Tonight we have one final fling for those who are still up for it!
Day 4: 2nd January
Bid a fond farewell to Scotland as we take the coach back to London. Swap contact details, catch up on all the gossip from your trip and say a last goodbye to your crew. We'll have plenty of DVD's and music for our return.
