Tour Itinerary
Day 1
There will be someone at the airport to meet you and they will take you to your backpackers lodge. In the late afternoon you will join a sunset cruise out of the harbour and around the coast where the kaleidoscope of evening colours rush at you. Sip champagne and watch the city of Cape Town light up in front of you.
Overnight in Cape Town.
Day 2
Table Mountain abseil aka The "long drop", a 112 metre trip into oblivion... This is the highest commercial abseil in the world, off the top of Cape Town's famous landmark, Table Mountain. The views and photo opportunities from the top are incredible. You can walk up to the top or you can take the cable car at your own expense.
You can join the topless bus trip around the Mother City at 09:30. The tour includes the Waterfront, the Clock Tower, then proceeds to the District 6 museum, the Castle, Jewel Africa then stops at Table Mountain, with the famous Cableway for a panoramic view and includes a coastal drive back through Camps Bay and seapoint. This is a convenient way to access all major highlights in Cape Town (including a visit to Camps Bay beach) during the day.
The topless bus will stop at the cable cars around 9h45, where you can disembark the bus and make your way up the mountain for your abseiling. There will be a topless bus running past the cable cars every 40 min, so once you are finished with the abseiling you can just jump on the next bus to complete the city sight seeing.
Tonight you can savour fresh seafood at one of the many great restaurants and go clubbing a little later. It's your choice. Overnight in Cape Town.
Day3
-A full day of Sandboarding which is the art of standing with two feet locked onto a board and carving arks down a dune. The beauty of it is that you can control the board & speed by turning, stopping and jumping with easy control of the board. For racing down the dunes we use snowboards with a specialised base. The base is a lamination, which becomes even more slippery the more you ride it. The bindings and boots are exactly the same as for Snowboarding. Using specially designed boards, the expert guides will have you flying down the dunes in no time. The best part about Sandboarding is that it is easy to learn and accessible to the absolute beginner - so fear not, Adrenaline is just a slide away! It is also the best way to learn the fundamentals of Snowboarding as the basic principles are the same. Our expert boarders will show you just how easy it is!
A short drive leads to the Lost City of Atlantis where the most spectacular dune environments exist in Cape Town. Whether you are a beginner or have snowboarded before, safety, fun and excitement is guaranteed.
Overnight in Stellenbosch
Day 4
This morning you will slow the pace down a little and we head on a full days Wine Tour to four uniquely different winefarms in Stellenbosch, Paarl & Franschhoek , where you will get to taste red & white wines, lunch is included and local cheese is also available to taste and buy. There are plenty of vibrant restaurants with in walking distance from the backpackers where you can go and enjoy dinner. Overnight in Stellenbosch.
Day 5
Today you will travel to Hermanus and enjoy a day on the water- sea kayaking, a great way to explore the magic of our unique coastline & the Walker Bay Whale sanctuary up close & personal in a stable kayak in the company of an experienced guide. Glide across sparkling water while marvelling at the majestic sea cliffs and sea life. This is your chance to do some whale and dolphin watching real close up! Please bring along another set of pants and a towel for after the trip.
Overnight in Hermanus
Day 6
Great White Shark Cage Diving, if this doesn't cause a rush, then you must be alien to earth . Dyer Island is a bird sanctuary and a breeding site for the Jackass penguin. Adjoining it is a second smaller rocky island called Geyser rock which supports a large seal population. Separating Geyser and Dyer is a channel aptly named "Shark Alley", arguably the prime spot in the world for encountering the Great White shark. Take turns in the cage which floats right next to the boat and provides great surface viewing opportunities. Lunch is served on board and we head back to Hermanus in the late afternoon to overnight.
Overnight in Hermanus
Day 7
A day to spend taking it easy and relaxing, walking along the cliff top looking at the Southern Wright whales in walker Bay. Followed by lunch in one of the many coffee shops found in this seaside village. Travel back to Cape Town by minibus in the early evening.
