DAY 1 Cape Town/ Stellenbosch > Mossel Bay

Follow the N2 highway via Sir Lowry's pass and arrive late afternoon in Mossel Bay.

Explore Mossel Bay - Your first stop happens to be at the same place that was the Europeans' first stop in South Africa, when Diaz dropped anchor back in 1488. Wander through the back streets of Mossel Bay, visit the Diaz Museum and bring a postcard to send from the oldest outdoor post office in South Africa - a sailor's boot under a big indigenous milkwood tree.

Big Five Safari (OPTIONAL with extra cost + R350) - Get up close and personal with wildlife on a open 4x4 vehicle safari drive in a private game reserve. Spot the Big Five*and admire free- roaming animals in their natural habitat from the safety of the vehicle. Rhinos, lions, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, eland and elephants are only a few of the many wild animals in the reserve. (*exclude leopard)

OVERNIGHT IN MOSSEL BAY - Head down to beach to test the warmer water of the Indian Ocean. Take a walk along a wide golden beach, or simply relax and draw pictures in the fine white sand, while you watch the ships as they come into the harbour.

DAY 2 Mossel Bay > Tsitsikamma

Wilderness - Canoe on the Wilderness lagoon and watch the bird life while you glide over the water on your encounter with Mother Nature.

Knysna - This lively, popular holiday town lies between forested mountains and the sea, and curves around a big lagoon. Lunch stop is at The Heads, where the sea crashes between two massive sandstone cliffs.

Nature's Valley - Catch some sunrays (tan) on the beach or take a swim in the Indian Ocean on a wide, sandy beach that stretches way into the distance.

OVERNIGHT IN TSITSIKAMMA - We overnight in Storms Rivier, a small town within this indigenous forest national park. Hit the town's restaurants for dinner or join us for a truely South African 'braai'* around the camp fire underneath the starry night sky.

DAY 3 Tsitsikamma > Oudtshoorn

Tsitsikamma National Park - Spend time in paradise as we explore the marine reserve with its unique combination of dramatic coastal and forest landscapes. Walk along forest trails to a suspension bridge and find a quiet spot from where to absorb the beauty of this forest wonderland.

Bloukrans Bungy Jump (OPTIONAL with extra cost + R650 - R700) - Face your fear at the world's highest bungy world's highest bungy jump or simply watch the adrenaline junkies as they scream through the air.

Elephant experience - (OPTIONAL with extra cost + R265 - R295) Walk trunk-in-hand with an rescued animal in an authentic forest setting. Fall in love with these gaint and lovable creatures. Learn about the elephants' background, behaviour and character as you touch and feed them.

OVERNIGHT IN OUDTSHOORN - We overnight in the ostrich capital, in the semi-desert Klein Karoo, offering rugged beauty as the setting sun paints the Swartberg and Outeniqua mountains in shades of pink.

DAY 4 Oudtshoorn > Stellenbosch/ Cape Town

Cango Caves - Crawl deep underground in these illuminated wonderland of subterranean caves filled with magic and mystery. The adventure cave tour will have you exploring three kilometres of passageways that lead to vast halls inside the earth, where colourful stalactites hang from

the roof like ancient chandeliers.

Ostrich Farm Tour - A fun and entertaining way to learn more about the ostrich, the largest bird in the world. The more daring even get a chance to ride on a ostrich's back (within weight limits). Stand in a nest on their massive eggs - and make sure your friends take a picture of you hugging and kissing the world's most friendly ostrich, Betsie.

Cape Route 62 - Along South Africa's most famous country road you'll capture the beauty of high mountains, twisting passes, rugged Karoo plains, vineyards and orchards in your personal road-trip movie.

We reach Cape Town/Stellenbosch by nightfall.
