Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Private Reserve:
We depart from Johannesburg and head for the Greater Kruger Park area to arrive at a Private Safari Lodge by lunch time. After settling into camp we begin this Kruger Lodge Experience with a late afternoon to evening game drive in open 4X4 vehicles. At one of the waterholes we’ll enjoy sundowner drinks before continuing on into the night game drive. We return to camp to enjoy a traditional South African meal around a log fire. Accommodation offers semi luxury en-suite chalets. (LD)
Day 2: Kruger National Park:
An early rise, as we make our way to explore South Africa’s national treasure, the Kruger National Park. We enter the Park through one of the central gates, where our wildlife experience unfolds. We enjoy breakfast at a popular picnic spot before continuing through the vast Kruger Park. The entire day will be spent game viewing, bird watching and stopping off at the various waterholes en-route. Our safari takes us along some of the best game drive routes that the Kruger has to offer. We depart the Park at sunset and return to the lodge for an evening of relaxation. (BD)
Day 3: Drakensberg Escarpment (Panoramic Route)
We depart the Lodge and make our way up the Drakensberg Escarpment. Our journey takes us along the Panoramic Route, some of the most stunning scenery South Africa has to offer. The sights en-route include; Gods Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, Three Rondawels and the magnificent Blyde River Canyon. After a full day of exploring we return to the Lodge and relax around the fire listening to the night sounds of Africa. (BD)
Day 4: Private Reserve:
After a hearty breakfast we spend the day at leisure, relaxing at the Lodge or taking part in the various optional activities on offer. We end the day with a late afternoon/evening Big Five game drive. Guided by the aid of spotlights, we track the elusive creatures of the night before returning to the lodge to enjoy a boma dinner. Day 5: Johannesburg:
We begin our day with coffee and rusks before venturing out on an early morning nature walk. There we’ll get up close and personal with natures finer details like birds, trees and spoor identification all with the guidance of qualified rangers. Afterwards we end this Game Lodge Experience with a fabulous brunch as the lodge before making our way back to Johannesburg, arriving there in the late afternoon. (B)
