Tour Itinerary Day 1 – Knysna - a half day quad biking wild ride through thick forest, lush damp valleys, over hills and along windy back roads, feel the rush !! Overnight in Knysna
Day 2 – Abseil the Needlepoint, enjoy a leisurely canoe trip across the Knysna Lagoon to the beautiful Featherbed Nature Reserve. We start off with abseiling the Beachcomber Caves (30m high) and then head for the sheer cliff face called Needlepoint (55m high). Both abseils offer spectacular views and an exhilarating descent onto a rocky beach. You can try RAP JUMPING, running down the cliff, face first (if you have the cojones!!). Each person abseils four to five times . After that it is off to Harkerville to do an amazing mountain bike ride through the indigenous forest and out onto a narrow single track along the cliff top with the Indian Ocean crashing into the rocks below. Overnight in Plettenberg Bay.
Day 3 – Depart Plett for the Bloukrans Bungee – the world’s highest commercial jump , 216 meters , it really is an immense drop “I have gone head first forwards ( the conventional method ) but the star elevator is my favourite, jumping backwards and watching the jump platform all the way down. There is even opportunity to throw in a somersault or two at the peak of your rebounds ! My last jump from there, I forward somersaulted; getting braver or dafter, one or the other; managing to get 6 revolutions in. Not bad for a first attempt. I will go back soon; I hope; and try again.”
Then after you’ve changed your shorts you can go scuba diving , or snorkeling ,in the afternoon , rock reefs form a bay providing dive opportunities within the Tsitsikamma National Park which is a protected wildlife area free of exploitation resulting in abundant fish and invertebrate life. Easy access to the sea with bright reefs and fish provide the perfect opportunity for underwater photographers.
