Tour Itinerary
Day 1 (Sat): Arrive Cairo
Welcome to Egypt! Our representative will meet you at the airport to ensure a smooth path through immigration and customs. Next we will drive to our hotel in Cairo for check-in. You have time to explore at your leisure before meeting your Pack2Egypt tour escort for a welcome drink at the hotel. Free evening and overnight in Cairo hotel.
Day 2 (Sun): Cairo "Desert Tour" (B)
Full-day outing to Sakkara, the vast Necropolis of ancient Memphis. Sakkara has the first Pyramid and the world’s oldest stone structure. Later we drive to Memphis the capital of the ancient kingdom and one of the most important cities throughout the history of ancient Egypt. Break for lunch, and then we drive to the most famous wonderland in the whole world - the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx.
Evening transfer to the train station to catch the overnight train to Aswan.
Day 3 (Mon): Aswan/Lake Nasser Cruise (L,D)
Arrive Aswan, meet and transfer to your lake Nasser cruise ship for check-in. Today we are off for a full-day excursion around the city visiting the Temple of Philae, the Aswan High Dam, and the Unfinished Obelisk. Free evening at leisure and overnight on cruise.
Day 4 (Tue): Lake Nasser Cruise (B,L,D)
This morning, we start sailing on the way to Kalabsha, to visit Mandulis Temple, then sailing again to Wadi El Seboua to visit Ramsis II temple. Overnight on Cruise while sailing on the way to Amada.
Day 5 (Wed): Lake Nasser Cruise (B,L,D)
Breakfast, then visiting the oldest Nubian Temple of Amada then sailing again to Ibrim to visit the unique visible Nubian monument “Ibrim Palace”, and then back on the cruise to sail on the way to Abu Simbel. Overnight on Cruise.
Day 6 (Thu): Lake Nasser Cruise/Abu Simbel (B,L,D)
Today after breakfast, the great moment awaits you to visit the most impressionist site of Egypt, Ramsis-II Temple and the Queen Temple of Goddess Hathor, Overnight on Cruise.
Day 7 (Fri): Abu Simbel/Aswan (B)
Disembarkation after breakfast, pick-up and transfer by bus back to Aswan. Arrive Aswan, following to check-in at our hotel, we will join an orientation cruise around Kitchener and Elephantine Islands. Free evening at leisure and overnight in Aswan hotel.
Day 8 (Sat): Aswan/Luxor "East Bank" (B)
Morning check-out and transfer to the train station to catch the train to Luxor. Arrive at Luxor train station, meet and transfer to hotel for check-in. Later this afternoon we will be touring the East Bank of Luxor:
- Luxor Temple
- Karnak Temple
Free evening at leisure and overnight in Luxor hotel.
Day 9 (Sun): Luxor "West Bank" (B)
Today we're off to the West Bank of Luxor, visiting:
- Valley of the Kings
- Valley of the Queens
- Temple of Queen Hatshepsut
- Colossi of Memnon
Free evening and overnight we will travel by train back to Cairo.
Day 10 (Thu): Cairo "City Tour"
Arrive Cairo, meet and transfer to your hotel for check-in. Today, we're off to Islamic Cairo where the 12th Century Citadel of Salah El-Din stands, within the walls of the medieval fortress is the Alabaster Mosque and El-Gawhara Palace built by Mohamed Ali, followed by a visit to Christian Old Cairo where the Romans constructed the fortress of Babylon. Built over the ruins of the two towers of this fortress, the Church of Saint Mary known by the Hanging Church. Break for lunch, and next we drive to the Egyptian Museum where the treasures of King Tut Ankh-Amun and most of the pharaohs, are kept. Free evening at leisure and overnight in Cairo hotel.
Day 11 (Fri): Depart Cairo (B)
Farewell to Egypt today. Our tour ends after breakfast. Transfer to Cairo International Airport.
Our “Rays of Egypt” tour includes:
1. Transfers from/to the airport, at any time 24/7, depending on your flights' schedule.
2. All accommodations in 3-star hotels in Cairo, Aswan and Luxor. All rooms have a private bath, air-conditioning, TV, and include breakfast.
P.S./ Included hotel category can be upgraded to 4-star or 5-star upon request.
3. All fully-guided tours (as per the itinerary) in air-conditioned buses.
4. Fluent, English-speaking tour guides throughout your program.
5. First-class train tickets from Cairo/Aswan and Luxor/Cairo on air-conditioned Spanish trains, with reclining seats.
6. Four nights on a 5-star Nile Cruise Ship, with all meals included (Open Buffet).
7. Entrance fees of the sites visited on the way by the Lake Nasser Cruise.
8. All meals as described in the tour itinerary (B = Breakfast, L = Lunch, D = Dinner).
9. All transfer and pick-up services.
10. All service charges and taxes.
Tour Excludes:
• International flights.
• Entry visa.
• All the entrance fees of the mentioned sites (except of the sites visited on the way by the Lake Nasser Cruise).
We do not charge in advance for site entrance fees to add flexibility to your program as you may choose to skip one or more sites depending upon your interests.
• Any items of personal nature, such as drinks, phone calls, laundry…etc.
Tour Price & Payment:
• The tour price is $1065.00 USD per person, based on double occupancy. There is a $520.00 USD single supplement charge.
• A 25% percent supplement is to be added during the peak periods (From December 23rd till January 7th and from April 2nd till April 16th).
• Full payment shall be settled prior to the tour date.
Notes:
• Our "Rays of Egypt" tour starts every Saturday as detailed above, while it can be slightly amended to start on any other day with coordination to the Lake Nasser Cruise schedules.
• Confirmation in advance is still highly recommended.
• All of our tours can be customized to fit your time, budget, and interests.
• Optional day trips and activities (Add-Ons) are available upon request and include round-trips to Abu Simbel from Aswan, the Sound & Light Show (at the Pyramids in Giza, Karnak Temple in Luxor or Philae Temple in Aswan), shopping at the Khan El-Khalily Market, an excursion to the Fayoum Oasis, and much more.
• All day trips leave in small groups and are accompanied by a professional tour guide.
• There are no time constraints for any of the day trips. The time spent depends only upon our guests’ desires and the official opening/closing times of the sites.
• Additional accommodation nights can be arranged upon request.
