Day 1 (Saturday)

We leave Dublin nice and early with all the gang to explore island of Ireland. Why not try a an Irish coffee in a real Irish pub in Waterford City, once home of the Vikings. Then it’s off to Cork city for some shopping, kiss the Blarney stone and stay overnight in Cork “ The Rebel City”. Practice the Cork accent with the locals, always gets a smile !

Day 2 (Sunday)

Leaving Cork behind us we make our way to Dingle (An Daingean), a beautiful fishing village found amongst the mountains of the Dingle peninsula with its colourful houses and quaint pubs. Fungie ( a friendly dolphin who came here many years ago and made Kerry his home) frequents the bay and won the hearts of many people. The famous cliff and mountain roads of Slea Head await us with amazing ocean views. Here we find the Sleeping Giant and have time to stroll along a sandy beach surrounded by cliffs as the ocean pounds all around us. Tonight we stay in the Kingdom of Kerry in Killarney, a town bursting with music and songs beside Killarney National Park and lakes. Try your luck with a Kerryman joke !

Day 3 (Monday)

An early morning stroll in Killarney National Park to Torc Waterfall is a great way to start the day with a photo stop at Ross Castle and the lakes of Killarney ( why not try the local jaunting cart ) before setting off to the Cliffs of Moher on the West Coast. The Cliffs of Moher are stunning and are Irelands most beautiful sea cliffs stretching for miles along the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. Tonight we stay in a village famous for Irish Music near the cliffs in County Clare. As we say in Ireland “The Craic will be mighty “…meaning there will be great fun at the pub, where local musicians will enterain you all night long with traditional instruments and there might even be a few farmers looking for potential wives to settle down with on their mountain farms !! A night you will remember for years to come.

**Day 4 (Tuesday*)

Doolin, Lisdoonvarna, Burren Landscape, Kinvara, Galway Bay, Galway City of the Tribes, County Galway

Can you picture Irish cows grazing on the moon with the occasional Irish pub on the horizion ! That’s the Burren, an amazing stony landscape at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean which will take your breath away. Rare plants, amazing views of the Aran Islands and of course Kinvara and its ancient castle are all to be seen as we travel round Galway Bay on the way to the City of the Tribes. Hooray, today is a shopping day. Galway City is a wonderful place to relax, shop and party the evening away. Full of musicians and pubs, Galway is a student town humming with talent and small friendly streets leading to the Atlantic Ocean. Check out the amazing West of Ireland night life!

Day 5 (Wednesday)

Strand Hill, Yeats Grave, Ben Bulben, Sligo, Bubbly Bundoran by the sea.

After a great day yesterday it is time to take off the boots and bathe your feet in soft waves and soothing Irish seaweed down by Strandhill in County Sligo. A famous surfing area, Strandhill is the perfect place to relax and take it all in. There is even a surfers pub by the beach to sup in and when you are feeling renewed we can ponder life , death, horses and poetry by the Irish poets grave at the foot of Ben Bulben where he once looked for the little people ( fondly known as Leprechans to some of ye ). Stunning scenery as we make our way into the formidable County Donegal , the Northwest of Ireland. Yet another great night of fun and music awaits us.

Day 6 (Thursday)

Crossing over the border into the North of Ireland was once a tricky affair, but nowadays the troubled streets and hills of Northern Ireland seem far away. See the historic walls of Derry, the birthplace of the Cat Walk, the Bogside and hear about the struggle for civil liberties that once gripped this famous city and beyond. Scenic drives take us from Derry along the North Sea along the North Atlantic Coast Drive, through wind swept hills and valleys until we reach Dunluce Castle ruins. Check out the Famous Giants Causeway and cliff walks (see this quick before it disappears forever), the Carrick a rede Rope Bridge ( seasonal ), Ballintoy village , Sheep Island (yes, Ireland has cute fuzzy sheep and are so liked even islands are called after them) , the Glens of Antrim and finally we reach the magnificent city of Belfast where Titanic was built ( little did they know a film would be made about their fate!). Belfast is amazing, having survived a terrible war it is now undergoing a transformation which is historic and welcomed by all sides. Great night life to be seen and you can feel you are now part of history in its making! Listen out for the local Belfast accent, its lovely. Before arriving in Dublin you can exchange e-mail addresses for all the great photo’s you will exchange to make the MAX IRELAND experience complete as the sun sets in the west…. an adventure you will always remember… not forgetting Saint Patricks goat…
