About Wagon Trails:
Wagon Trails is an established overland company in Southern Africa specialising in short trips to many exciting places. Instead of bulky trucks which take time to get around, we have fully equipped mini busses with trailers. The smaller group gives us more time and freedom to enjoy our holidays. All trips are participation camping tours in 2-man tents allowing you the independence to experience Africa at grass roots level.
All our trips cater for clients who are short on time or do not want a long haul overland. IF you are just passing through Africa for a short time then one of our weekly departures to Kruger Park, Victoria Falls, Okavango Delta, or Mozambique can fit into your travel plans with little extra cost and heaps of African experience to gain.
They say only the brave dare explore Africa, as it is known to be challenging and unpredictable which can capture your heart and soul forever.
GENERAL INFORMATION
We camp in a mixture of established campsites with all amenities and wilderness camps depending on the particular trip. We supply 2 man dome tents which you may either share with a friend or use on your own.
EQUIPMENT SUPPLIED
2 man dome tents – these are very easy to put up and down. The tents have mosquito netting over the entrances. You may choose to bring your own mosquito netting if you wish. Thin sleeping mat. All cooking equipment for the group and utensils etc. Camping Stools. Sleeping bags may be hired for R30 per tour. Please notify us in advance if you require one.
EQUIPMENT
Camping is in spacious tents for 2 people. Thin sleeping mats are provided. Sleeping bags may be hired from Wagon Trails.
MEALS
2 meals per day are included in the cost, 3 on some days as per pre-departure information. Although every effort is made to cater for special dietary requirements, due to local supplies this is occasionally not possible.
LUGGAGE
For maximum comfort of everyone, luggage is limited to 1 bag per person plus camera, sleeping bag and small day bag. NO SUITCASES. We can arrange luggage storage in Johannesburg upon request.
