    Cape Tribulation Hostels

    Queensland hostels Cape Tribulation is roughly a 2 ½ hr drive north from Cairns through the Daintree Rainforest, home to some of the oldest rainforest in the world. The Word Heritage Daintree rainforest is right next to another world heritage area the famous Great Barrier Reef. So there'll be plenty to keep you occupied, trekking through the rain forest, snorkeling, scuba diving, sea kayaking or just chilling in this amazing spot. Keep your eyes peeled for the endangered cassowary and do bear in mind that during the wet season from February to April some roads may be flooded.

Grab an early evening beer here while watching the boats return from their day trips to the Barrier Reef.

    Mission Beach Hostels Mission Beach is just about an hour and a half by bus south from Cairns and two and half hours from Townsville. There is so much to see and to in the Mission Beach area. There are numersous day cruises to Dunk Island and the Great Barrier Reef. Or if you don't quite have the sea legs lots of bush walks through the many World Heritage Wet Tropics which are scattered throughout the Mission Beach area. It doesn't have the hectic party lifestyle of Cairns but Mission Beach offers peace and quiet.

    Townsville Hostels Townsville is another 2 hours south of Mission Beach and the jumping off point for Magnetic Island. Tourists have been visiting Queensland's Magnetic Island for over 100 years, but it still maintains it's unspoilt natural beauty.     Hervey Bay Hostels

    Hervey Bay Hostels Queensland So we are getting closer to the end of the Queensland coast with Hervey Bay only 4 hours drive north of Brisbane. The two major attractions in Hervey Bay are Fraser Island (the majority of ferries heading for Fraser depart from here) and whale watching.     Brisbane Hostels

    Brisbane Hostels Queensland So final stop on our trip from Cairns is Brisbane the capital city of Queensland. The populars surfing spot of the Gold Coast is just an hours drive south of Brisbane. Brisbane is becoming more renowned for its nightlife in recent year with the arrival of a number of theme pubs. Brisbane also has a thriving nightclub scene. Many clubs are in the city centre but for something a little more alternative, check out the Fortitude Valley region of Brisbane. The Valley is an excellent place to party on Friday and Saturday.
