Top Bars in Nice - Your Favourite Nice Bars

  • Capital of France's famed Cote d'Azure, Nice is known as much for its nightlife as its sunshine. And after a day catching non-stop rays, you may want to see where are the best places to go at night. So we asked you on our facebook page what are your favourite bars in Nice and here’s what you told us.

  • Wayne's

    Melissa Miller says:

Waynes! The live music is great!

Wayne's is also recommended by: Jodie Clarke, Jackie Graham, Carol Chen, Maria Emelyanova, Lara Ho, Sophie Montagnat, Maria Emelyanova, Olivia Quince, Galyna Prymak and Brad White.

    Hostelworld.com says:

By far the most popular bar with backpackers in Nice, Wayne's attracts people from all corners of the globe. Ladies come to swoon at the bartenders and guys come to swoon at the girls swooning at the...you get the picture. Popular for live music, here everybody is dancing on the tables in no time.

Location: 15 Rue de la Préfecture.

  • Checkpoint

    Melissa Miller (again) says:

Checkpoint has some great happy hour specials.

    Hostelworld.com says:

This self-styled 'Irish disco pub' is where sports fanatics go in their droves to see football, rugby and more. As with all Irish bars, you can get typical pub grub, while there's lots of live music too, so something for everybody. Free Wifi too which is always handy.

    Location: 2 Rue Desboutin.

  • High Point

    Manjunath Masgodu says:

High club is the best on Promenade des Anglais, Nice!

    Hostelworld.com says:

Calling all dance music fans! High Point attracts those who like to party into the small hours of the morning to the sound of the latest house tunes. Attracting DJs from all over the world. Here you'll find two separate rooms with revellers going crazy in either.

    Location: 45/47 Promenade des Anglais

  • AKA Thor

    Heini Lilja says:

I always recommend AKAThor on Cours Saleya, if only for the good memories... Or for the lack of memories... ;)

    Hostelworld.com says:

Famous for its live music in this city in the south of France, bands can be found on the stage here every night of the week. If that isn't enough to entice, every hour is happy hour on Monday nights, while Tuesdays are ladies nights when members of the female community get deals on wine.

    Location: 32 Cours Saleya.

  • The Beach

Recommended by: Catherine Huard and Laurie Couture .

    Hostelworld.com says:

No, this isn't the name of a bar in Nice where everyone wears their flip flops on a man-made beach. Catherine and Laurie literally do mean the beach. Go down to Nice's rocky beach any evening during the summer and you will find groups of young people sitting round with beers and bottles of wine. Definitely a night out to try in Nice.

    Location: Place Saint Géry, 25.

  • Pompeii

    Laurent Caraffa says:

Pompeii in the old city! After midnight everybody dances on the tables!

    Hostelworld.com says:

We agree. Pompeii is famed for its live music, and in particular rock music.

    Location:16 Rue de l'Abbaye.

    Le Feeling

    Tasha Sweeney says:

They opened just for us after our first night there. Amazing people, drinks, and atmosphere!

    Hostelworld.com says:

Le Feeling is one of Nice's most popular gay bars and attracts both locals and tourists alike. It can get packed, but this only helps create a better buzz in the place.

    Location: Rue de Savoie, 68.
