  • Ice Bar

    My fave bar in Stockholm is definitely Absolut Ice Bar, I just loved it there. Great atmosphere, you look like from other world in that huge blue jacket they give you. Have your drink very fast as it's freezing there. Love the icy colours of the bar and those of the drinks as well. And it's the best place to take some funny pictures :)

    It's touristy, but you meet so many "cool" travellers...so I also say the Ice bar.

    Ice harvested from the River Torne is used to create the icy wonderland that is the Absolut Icebar where the temperature is -5ºC all year round. Book your visit and you’ll be treated to a 40-minute visit which includes gloves and a cape to keep you warm, along with a cocktail of your choice. Drinks here are served up in ice glasses, with seats and tables also made from ice.

    Debaser Slussen, located in Stockholm’s popular Södermalm district, is the original of these venues with Debaser clubs now also found at four other locations around the city. This is the place to go if you’re into rock music as it plays host to a stream of top Swedish and international rock acts. Along with great music, it also boasts a funky vibe and a good variety of drinks.

    Initially opened back in 1997, the Soap Bar is a popular spot with a young, trendy crowd who come here to drink and listen to a wide variety of music. On busy nights be prepared to queue.

    Being a bit of a metalhead, I'd have to go for Pub Anchor. Always worth a visit with live bands, and rock karaoke. Food there's pretty good and the staff are awesome. Pop in if you're in the area :)

    Both bar, restaurant and club, Engelen is somewhere you could spend your entire night. After enjoying a steak in the restaurant, you can listen to live music in the bar area and then head into the club and dance the night away.

    Which one to choose?! Chokladkoppen has the best hot chocolate in town and the ice bar is certainly something one has to visit. But my favourite has to be 'Och himlen därtill' in the skatteskrapam building on Söder. It has the best views out over Stockholm. :-)

Carmen at Tjärhovsgatan - The place for a beer, talking and spot the "söder" people. Klubb Gås at Bar 122 at Folkungagatan - Great music a la punk, rock....
