Whiskey Thieves on Geary Street. Dark and divey, but with the best selection oh whisk(e)ys and Bourbons you will find anywhere.
Whiskey Thieves is a great bar to enjoy a few drinks in as well as play some pool or watch a game on TV. Drinks are cheaply priced here and as the name suggests, they have a good selection of whiskey on offer.

The Pig & Whistle

The Pig & Whistle at Masonic and Geary. 1 - $3.50 happy hour on all drafts from 4-6, $4 Guinness; 2 - The best example of an English pub I've found outside of the UK; 3 - It is actually run and frequented by English expats living in San Francisco. Lance Johnson will second!
