Jazz On South Beach Hostel, cheap and just two blocks from the beach. Also, Miami being notoriously expensive to drink out, it is a great place to drink before you go out, and hang around with hostel bar/club crawls to save your dollars instead of paying entry fees.
Visit Villa Vizcaya
Boris Javier Omar Krumm says:
Villa Vizcaya! It's a masterpiece of private classic architecture and historic European interior design... Definitely worth a visit!

Soak up the beach culture!
Join in on a big city cycle
Another Traveler says:
Last Friday of every month, join the Critical Mass bike ride through the city. Usually have 300-500 people riding bike through the city. They take off from Government Center Metro Station in downtown @ 7pm every last Friday of the month. Best way to see the real Miami! BYOB event... Bring Your Own Bike.
Stay close to South Beach
Sybil Ramos Sheen says:
Stay at SoBe, there is everything you need so close: beach, nice clubs, nice restaurants, if you’re going shopping I recommend the Dolphin Mall and for that is better to rent a car. If you want a private beach, stay in some of the Ocean Drive hotels, there is South Pointe Park... really worth it!
Get out and explore Miami
Sofie Vanherle says:
1) Everglades: Rent a car and drive through, maybe do one of the organised boat-trips, but certainly don't forget to drive further all across the whole park. Get out from time to time for a little excursions/great snapshots, but don't go skinny dipping, just a few too many gators around!! 2) Drive to Key West over the more than forty bridges that connect the KEYS. Go snorkelling in one of the national parks, enjoy the wonderful sea food, and visit Hemmingway's house with the wonderfully friendly six-toed cats.
Hopefully these top Miami tips will help you make to most of your visit to Miami.
