Learn the local history
Neha VivaMalagueta Gosalia says:
A walking tour of Nazi legacy, when it all began. Feldhernhalle, Viscardigasse and all the other hidden leftovers and memorials from that time. Be awed by the size of Koenigsplatz and surrounding buildings and picture Nazi rallies being carried out there. Visit the site of the oldest synagogue that was plowed down in 1938. And catch the evening glockenspiel performance as a perfect end to the day!
Donna Munro says:
The beer gardens are great, but if you want to learn about the tragic history of the region, take a short train trip to Dachau, a nearby former concentration camp. The most horrible, and perspective-changing thing I have done.
