  • Homestays

Are you the type of person who really likes to get in touch with the people and experience the culture of the country you are visiting? If the answer is yes, then the ‘homestay’ is the perfect type of accommodation for you. In this type of lodging you actually stay with the family in their home. In some cases, you are even brought to the village or town to meet their people.

    Where we have homestays:

    China - Beijing
India - Alappuzha, Bangalore, Cochin, Darjeeling, Kottayam
    Indonesia - Bali, Tabanan
Malaysia - Kota Bharu, Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur
    Thailand - Koh Chang

  • Eco-Lodges

It is no secret that our environment is under constant threat from mankind. But stay in an eco-lodge and you don’t have to be part of this threat and, instead, do your bit to help the environment. Eco-lodges use produce and services from the local areas, treat waste water and in some cases use solar power instead of electricity.

    Where we have Eco-Lodges:

    India - Kumarakom
    Philippines - Camiguin
    Singapore - Singapore

  • Beach Huts

It’s one thing to stay beside the beach but it’s another thing to stay on the beach. In coastal Asian countries you have the option to do just that. Many beach huts have all the facilities you’d find in a standard room, plus most are ensuite too. But the one thing they have that you won’t find anywhere else? Breathtaking views of the sea.

    Where we have Beach Huts:

    Cambodia - Sihanoukville
Thailand - Koh Chang, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao

  • Tree Houses

Yes, this sounds exactly like it reads…some hostels can be found up trees! Anybody who has ever had a childhood dream about sleeping in a tree house but never got to live their fantasy should make a point of staying in one. Just make sure to be careful climbing up the ladder!

    Where we have Tree Houses:

    Philippines - Camiguin

  • Rainforest Lodges

If you are going backpacking to get at one with nature as well as at one with yourself, you should stay in one of our rainforest lodges. Found in the heart of lush, tropical rainforests, they are the perfect type of alternative hostel for nature lovers.

    Where we have Rainforest Lodges:

    Indonesia - Ubud
    Malaysia - Sandakan
Nepal - Royal Chitwan National Park
