of attractions like:
Plaza de Armas: The focal point of Cusco and the city's main square. It is a meeting point and where you will find two of its best-known buildings - Iglesia La Compania and Cusco Cathedral.
A city famed for its high altitude: The city is well-known for its high altitude and is located 3,400m (11,200ft) above sea-level.
Museo Inka: This doesn't only document life of the Incas, but what life was like before their existence also
Plaza de San Francisco: Cusco's other main square, home to Iglesia de San Francisco
'12 Cornered Stone': Just off Plaza de Armas is a wall known for the famous '12 cornered stone'. To find it just look for the stone with tourists taking place.
Sacsayhuaman: An Inca 'fortress' located just north of the city. As well as explore the ancient site, when you're there you can enjoy breathtaking views.
The San Blas neighbourhood: This small part of the city is extremely close to the centre and worth visiting if you're looking to escape the crowds for a while.
Machu Picchu: Cusco is the gateway to Peru's best-known attraction, the mesmerising Machu Picchu. On tours you can hike to the celebrated site, learn all about it and more.
The Sacred Valley: Cusco is also gateway to The Sacred Valley, a key area of settlement to the Incas.

Iglesia La Compania: Dating back to the 16th Century, this imposing church is a well-known landmark of Cusco
Plaza de Armas by night: The city's main square is particularly picturesque after dark
