Sophie's Hostel is tucked in Prague’s New Town (Nove Mesto) which is steeped in authentic culture and home to an eclectic mix of local restaurants, cafes, and shops. New Town borders Old Town allowing easy access to the historical center and Wenceslas Square by foot or by tram. Our location is ideal, especially for those who seek a wee bit of refuge from the tourist crowds.

Sophie's Hostel also offers an on-site bar/cafe with daily happy hour and a wonderful breakfast daily 7-11 (not included). 24-hour reception with no lock-out or curfew, secure luggage room and air-conditioned private rooms upon request (based on availability). Lovely hostel, very good value for money and an additional delicious breakfast well worth including, we (8 of us) stayed in the pod rooms which were nice, clean, private and very comfortable. Also a good location, only about a 15 minute walk to the centre of town, plus transport links to the airport which was a great bonus

Its very much a hostel. The door too our room was so loud when opened we just never closed it in our room whicwhich raises some security concerns. The automatic light in the toilet lasted 5 seconds before you had to wave your hand to get it to turn on again. Orherwise location was great, staff were nice enough spike too 3 different people and never had a problem.

Hostelworld guests say they like this hostel's position in New Town, saying "it's a very quick metro ride to the Old Town Square" and "only three blocks away from Wenceslas Square, but you are also a little bit out of the tourist old town so there are some great local restaurants nearby with amazing traditional Czech food". We like that some of the dorms in this hostel don't have bunk beds.
