Which iconic landmarks will be going green for St. Patrick’s Day?

Every March 17th, iconic buildings, statues and other landmarks around the world are illuminated green to celebrate everybody’s favourite national holiday, St. Patrick’s Day. From Christ the Redeemer in Rio to the Empire State Building in New York, everybody’s Irish on St. Paddy’s Day.

This year’s “global greening” from Tourism Ireland looks set to be the largest ever with 60 landmarks already confirmed and many more expected. There are also plenty of first time greenings, including the Colosseum in Rome and the Sacré-Cœur Basilica in Paris. Read on to find your nearest “greened” landmark and be sure to check back as we add more to the list.
