The White Tower itself is a museum of the city's history, with the best view along the bay from the roof.\r\n\r\nThe Roman city is inland and startlingly intact. The Arch of Galerius stands in the middle of Egnatia Street, where traffic still passes it, and the Rotunda beside it has been a mausoleum, a church and a mosque, and still has its minaret.
