South Bank is one of Brisbane\u2019s main draws which houses the city\u2019s galleries and museums along a man-made beach. GoMA is not to be missed for its modern and contemporary art collection.<\/p>\n
A bit further afield is New Farm, a suburb with a buzzy, upmarket restaurant and shopping precinct on James Street. New Farm Park is a lush green space where locals congregate for barbecues by the river. New Farm is also home to hundreds of jacarandas which bloom between early October and November and cover the whole area in purple flowers.<\/p>\n
Follow the riverside walk along New Farm Park for stunning views of the city, up to the Brisbane Powerhouse<\/a>, which hosts comedy, arts and culture events. A little further along you\u2019ll reach the suburb of Teneriffe which has been transformed from a wool exporting port into a foodie hub.<\/p>\n Further north at Fortitude Valley is where you\u2019ll find most of the city\u2019s nightclubs. During the day the Valley can feel a bit scruffy, but at night it comes alive.
