Spring break is upon us! Amongst the stress of midterms, don\u2019t forget about planning the perfect spring break getaway. Why stick with Miami or Cancun, when you can be hiking the mountains of South Africa or soaking up the sun in Bali?! Make it a spring break to remember by heading to one of my top ten alternative spring break destinations for 2019:<\/p>\n

10.\u00a0 Seattle<\/a>, Washington<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Ready to channel your inner grunge rocker this spring break? Or drown yourself in coffee? Seattle can take care of both of those for you! The birthplace of grunge (thanks Nirvana) offers hikes and coffee galore, not to mention one of the best live music scenes in the USA.\u00a0 Escape the rain by wandering the endless aisles of the Pike Place Market, or take a trip and hike up Mount Rainier while taking in the beauty that is the Pacific Northwest.<\/p>\n

Canggu is a luscious Indonesian town full of beach clubs that give you that authentic spring break experience. Sure, it\u2019s a trendy vacation spot, but how many people do you know who spend their spring break turning up (and legally <\/em>lighting up) in Amsterdam? The famous Red Light District, the countless number of bars and delightful Dutch beers make this city a college kid\u2019s dream. In the daytime, get a workout in by biking up and down the city streets, hop on a canal boat tour (with unlimited drinks), or explore one of the many museums Amsterdam has to offer. My personal favorite? The Sex Museum!<\/p>\n
