Die isl\u00e4ndische Hauptstadt ist der Startpunkt f\u00fcr jedes Island-Abenteuer. Die kleine Stadt mit ihren rund 119.000 Einwohnern (Island selbst hat nur 320.000 Einwohner) bietet leckere Restaurants, Museen mit antiken Artefakten, ein cooles Nachtleben und herrliche Ausblicke auf die nahe gelegenen Berge, um nur ein paar Dinge zu nennen, die sie gro\u00dfartig machen.<\/p>\n

Wenn man Island besucht, bleibt man oft in Reykjavik und unternimmt Tagestouren in die Umgebung, und manchmal wird Reykjavik selbst nicht genug Aufmerksamkeit geschenkt. Hier ist mein Vorschlag f\u00fcr 10 Dinge, die man in Reykjavik machen sollte.<\/p>\n

1. Einkaufen im Duty Free<\/h3>\n

Wenn Sie in Reykjavik oder generell in Island etwas trinken m\u00f6chten, empfehlen viele Leute, dass Sie Ihr Bier \/ Ihren Alkohol im Duty Free Shop im Flughafen kaufen, bevor Sie den Sicherheitsbereich verlassen. Alkohol ist in diesem Land sehr teuer (wie vieles andere auch), und das ist der beste Grund, ihn g\u00fcnstig zu kaufen.<\/p>\n

2. Entspannen Sie sich in hei\u00dfen Quellen und Thermalb\u00e4dern<\/h3>\n

\"1_Mar25ReykBlueLagoon\"<\/a>
\nIsland ist vor allem f\u00fcr seine geothermischen Aktivit\u00e4ten und nat\u00fcrlich f\u00fcr die Blaue Lagune bekannt. Sie k\u00f6nnen Island nicht wirklich besuchen, ohne entweder die Blaue Lagune (etwa 40 Minuten Fahrt vom Stadtzentrum Reykjaviks entfernt) oder zumindest eine andere hei\u00dfe Quelle oder ein Thermalbad zu besuchen. In Reykjavik gibt es sogar einige \u00f6ffentliche Thermalb\u00e4der, f\u00fcr deren Besuch Sie ein paar Dollar bezahlen k\u00f6nnen. Sundh\u00f6llin ist ein \u00f6ffentliches Schwimmbad in der Stadt und verf\u00fcgt nicht nur \u00fcber ein gro\u00dfes Innenbecken, sondern auch \u00fcber zwei Thermalbecken mit unterschiedlichen Temperaturen im Freien. Weniger \u00fcberf\u00fcllt als die Blaue Lagune (aber nicht so einzigartig), ist dies auch der Pool, wo alle Einheimischen sind, also eine gute M\u00f6glichkeit, einige Einheimische zu treffen.<\/p>\n

3. Gehen Sie auf den Markt<\/h3>\n

Eine weitere M\u00f6glichkeit, Einheimische zu treffen, ist der Besuch der M\u00e4rkte und Flohm\u00e4rkte, die jeden Samstag und Sonntag stattfinden. Es gibt einen im Laugardalur 24 in der N\u00e4he der Uferpromenade und einen weiteren am Nationaltheater.<\/p>\n

4. Besuchen Sie das Nationalmuseum von Island<\/h3>\n

\"2_Mar25ReykMuseum\"<\/a>Island hat eine lange Geschichte, die bis in die 800er Jahre und die Wikingerzeit zur\u00fcckreicht. Im isl\u00e4ndischen Nationalmuseum k\u00f6nnen Sie die Geschichte des Landes anhand von Artefakten von der Gegenwart bis zu den ersten Siedlern, die aus Norwegen kamen, nachvollziehen.<\/p>\n

5. Besuchen Sie Reykjav\u00edk 871\u00b12<\/h3>\n

Ein weiteres fantastisches Museum in der Stadt ist Reykjav\u00edk 871\u00b12, das um ein altes Langhaus der Wikinger herum gebaut wurde, das 2001 entdeckt wurde. Bauarbeiter gruben ein St\u00fcck Land aus, um ein neues Hotel in der Stadt zu bauen, und fanden das Langhaus. Es sind nicht viele erhalten geblieben, und man nimmt an, dass dieses Langhaus aus dem Jahr 871 stammt, plus oder minus ein paar Jahre (daher der Name). Das Hotel wurde \u00fcber dem Langhaus gebaut, aber das untere Stockwerk wurde zu einem Museum umfunktioniert, so dass man es auch heute noch besichtigen kann. Es ist eines der multimedialsten und interaktivsten Museen, die Sie wahrscheinlich jemals besuchen werden.<\/p>\n

6. Besuchen Sie die Perle (Perlan)<\/h3>\n

\"3_Mar25ReykPearl\"<\/a>Dies ist ein gro\u00dfartiger Ort, um einen 360-Grad-Blick auf die Stadt und die umliegenden Gebiete zu erhalten. Das perlen- bzw. kuppelf\u00f6rmige Geb\u00e4ude befindet sich auf riesigen Tanks, die mit nat\u00fcrlichem Warmwasser f\u00fcr die Beheizung der Stadt gef\u00fcllt sind, und verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber ein Caf\u00e9 und einen Souvenirladen, in dem Sie die Aussicht genie\u00dfen k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n

7. Besuchen Sie eine Brauerei<\/h3>\n

\"4_Mar25ReykBrewery\"<\/a>Kleinstbrauereien werden in Island immer beliebter, aber die Isl\u00e4nder hinken der Zeit ein wenig hinterher, da sie erst seit 1989 Bier trinken d\u00fcrfen, nachdem dieser s\u00fc\u00dfe Nektar 75 Jahre lang verboten war (mehr oder weniger). Probieren Sie die “Taste of Saga”-Brauereif\u00fchrung in der \u00d6lger\u00f0in-Brauerei aus.<\/p>\n

8. Lassen Sie sich von einer Walbeobachtung inspirieren<\/h3>\n

Whale Watching ist das ganze Jahr \u00fcber m\u00f6glich, wobei die beste Zeit f\u00fcr die Beobachtung von Walen zwischen M\u00e4rz und Oktober liegt – eine unterhaltsame Aktivit\u00e4t bei einem Besuch in Reykjavik. In den Gew\u00e4ssern vor Island wurden bereits \u00fcber 23 verschiedene Walarten gesichtet. Die Gegend ist auch f\u00fcr ihre Delfine und Robben bekannt, und wenn Sie Gl\u00fcck haben, k\u00f6nnen Sie die Papageientaucherinsel und eine Gruppe nistender Papageientaucher sehen.<\/p>\n

9. Essen Sie fermentierten Hai<\/h3>\n

\"5_Mar25ReykFermentedshark\"<\/a>Eines der touristischsten Dinge, die man in Reykjavik tun kann, ist fermentierten Hai zu essen, auch bekannt als H\u00e1karl. Bei H\u00e1karl handelt es sich in der Regel um einen Gr\u00f6nland- oder Riesenhai, der buchst\u00e4blich mehrere Wochen lang im Boden fermentiert und dann h\u00e4ngend getrocknet wird. Dieser Prozess dauert einige Monate, bevor der Hai aufgeschnitten und gegessen wird. Der Gr\u00f6nlandhai ist eigentlich giftig, wenn er frisch verzehrt wird, daher ist dies die einzige M\u00f6glichkeit, ihn sicher zu verzehren. Er hat einen hohen Ammoniakgehalt, eine seltsame Konsistenz und die meisten Menschen, die ihn zum ersten Mal essen (wenn sie den Geruch \u00fcberstehen), m\u00fcssen w\u00fcrgen. In der Regel wird er mit einem Schnaps namens brennivin, auch bekannt als schwarzer Tod”, getrunken. Lecker.<\/p>\n

10. Besuchen Sie das isl\u00e4ndische phallologische Museum (f\u00fcr die, die gerne ausgehen)<\/h3>\n
