Vorige week vlogen we naar Amsterdam voor de opening van de nieuwste aanwinst van de Clink hostelfamilie. Het gebouw van Clink NOORD werd in de jaren 1920 gebruikt als testlaboratorium, dus het feest had natuurlijk een thema met skeletten, een alcoholisch laboratorium en wonderlijke voedselexperimenten geserveerd op petrischaaltjes. De obers in het lab serveerden ons Foggy Levanderium Field-estims (whisky met sinaasappelsmaak en lavendel), Iced Chelidoniums (zuipijs), gefrituurde sprinkhanen (verrassend lekker) en chocoladepopcorn gedoopt in vloeibaar nitraat. MIND. GEWELDIG!<\/p>\n

\"clink\"<\/p>\n

We hadden de hele avond gezichten kunnen trekken in het gifhokje, maar het entertainment was te spectaculair om te laten schieten. De DJ’s speelden een hypnotiserende elektroset met een lichtshow en daarna gingen ze los met hun waanzinnige energie en jazzy deuntjes. Na vele salsadansen gingen we naar onze slaapzalen en ploften we neer op onze bedden.<\/p>\n

\"food\"<\/p>\n

Het gebouw zelf is monumentaal, stijlvol omgetoverd tot een open, modern hostel met hier en daar een authentiek detail, zoals het schitterende glas-in-loodraam in elk trappenhuis. Het ligt op slechts 400 meter afstand van het Centraal Station aan de overkant van de rivier en wordt omringd door parken in de bruisende wijk Overhoeks, dus je krijgt het beste van alle werelden.<\/p>\n

Er is ook een op maat gemaakte bar met regelmatige dj’s en optredens, een bibliotheek, een enorm met planten versierd atrium en een glimmende zelfcateringkeuken – ideaal voor het in elkaar flansen van een feestmaaltijd met je crew. De slaapzalen hebben 4 tot 16 slaapplaatsen, allemaal met hun eigen en-suite badkamer, en je krijgt zelfs een oogmasker en mini doucheaccessoires bij aankomst. Kleine attenties overtuigen ons altijd \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
