Enkele van de beroemdste bezienswaardigheden van de stad, zoals de Brandenburger Tor, de Berliner Dom en de Berlijnse Overwinningszuil, worden omgetoverd tot oogverblindende lichtinstallaties en kunstwerken. Het evenement vindt al meer dan tien jaar plaats en is elke keer weer een lust voor het oog.
