\"Pier<\/p>\n

Hvis du har bes\u00f8kt San Francisco i nyere tid, kjenner du til stedene som vanligvis anbefales til turister – Fisherman’s Wharf, Pier 39, Union Square (det er huset fra Full House!), Golden Gate Bridge. Selv om alle disse stedene er fine \u00e5 rusle rundt p\u00e5, og alle er viktige deler av byens historie, kan de etter hvert f\u00f8les litt for polerte, velstelte og iscenesatte.<\/p>\n

San Franciscos Mission-distrikt er derimot det motsatte. Her er det en blanding av ulike kulturer og mennesker. Her m\u00f8tes latinamerikansk kultur og en ny b\u00f8lge av hipsterbutikker, barer og spisesteder. Mange av byens latinamerikanske innbyggere har nemlig bodd i Mission i flere ti\u00e5r, men de siste \u00e5rene har ogs\u00e5 kunstnere, frilansere, studenter og entrepren\u00f8rer str\u00f8mmet til.<\/p>\n

Gentrifiseringen av Mission er et omstridt tema i byen, landet og verden, men til tross for de sosiale problemene er dette akkurat n\u00e5 et nabolag i endring, med en interessant og mangfoldig blanding av de to sv\u00e6rt ulike innflytelsene. Ekte taqueriaer og gatekj\u00f8kkener ligger side om side med indiske dosa-restauranter og noen av byens beste kaffebarer, store lagerlignende bruktbutikker ligger side om side med \u00f8ko-butikker og gourmetsjokolader, og dykkerbarer som har eksistert i flere ti\u00e5r ligger like ved moderne takbarer. Det er et interessant sted \u00e5 vandre gjennom.<\/p>\n

Her er noen av stedene jeg fant i Mission. Ta turen til omr\u00e5det hvis du er i byen, opps\u00f8k noen av disse stedene og finn noen av dine egne ogs\u00e5!<\/p>\n

\"coffee<\/p>\n

G\u00e5 nedover Valencia Street<\/b> og kikk inn i butikkene – bruktbutikker, antikviteter, eksklusive kles- og interi\u00f8rbutikker eller unike butikker som Paxton Gate<\/b><\/a> for obskure kuriositeter eller Dandelion Chocolate<\/b><\/a> for sjokoladekaker laget p\u00e5 stedet foran \u00f8ynene dine.<\/p>\n

Det finnes ogs\u00e5 noen f\u00e5 steder langs gaten hvor man kan f\u00e5 veldig god kaffe, som Four Barrel Coffee<\/b><\/a> eller Ritual Coffee Roasters<\/b><\/a>. Favorittstedet mitt var den avsidesliggende bikerbaren Zeitgeist<\/b><\/a>,<\/b> der alle drinkene ser ut til \u00e5 v\u00e6re doble, og der man kan finne noen helt unike personligheter.<\/p>\n

Ta en lunsj p\u00e5 Gracias Madre<\/b><\/a>, hvor du finner San Franciscos beste veganske meksikanske mat. De sunne, deilige rettene, som er basert p\u00e5 s\u00f8tpoteter, cashewost, spinat, pepitas, maistortillas og svarte b\u00f8nner, serveres alltid med store mengder ekte guacamole.<\/p>\n

\"houses<\/p>\n

Vandre rundt i de mer forstadsaktige gatene, hold hodet h\u00f8yt og \u00f8ynene \u00e5pne for omr\u00e5dets fargerike hus. De vakre, fargerike husene og graffitimaleriene som pryder veggene i smugene (pr\u00f8v Clarion street og Balmy Street-maleriene), er umiskjennelig takket v\u00e6re de latinamerikanske innbyggerne som har gjort dette omr\u00e5det til det det er i dag.<\/p>\n

\"still<\/p>\n

Hvis du er p\u00e5 utkikk etter et sted \u00e5 jobbe eller sjekke e-post, kan du ta turen til Stable Caf\u00e9<\/b><\/a> midt i den industrielle delen av Mission. Kafeen er en m\u00f8te- og inkubatorplass for lokale bedrifter og lokalsamfunnet. Kafeen har et loft i andre etasje for b\u00e6rbare datamaskiner, men det virkelige midtpunktet er uteomr\u00e5det med terrarier som henger i tr\u00e6rne, sukkulenter, store trebord og tilgang til San Franciscos sol.<\/p>\n

Sent p\u00e5 ettermiddagen, og s\u00e6rlig p\u00e5 s\u00f8ndager, samles omr\u00e5dets mangfoldige beboere i Dolores Park<\/b><\/a> for \u00e5 grille, spille fotball, spille hacky sack eller bare sitte og beundre byens skyline. Bli med!<\/p>\n

\"El<\/p>\n

Solnedgangen er god p\u00e5 El Techo de Lolinda<\/b><\/a>, en takterrasse som serverer margaritas og mer moderne meksikansk mat. Her har de stort sett det eneste stedet hvor du kan se ut over hele byen (det er ikke mange h\u00f8yhus i San Francisco), s\u00e5 kom tidlig for \u00e5 sikre deg en god plass i solnedgangen.<\/p>\n

Avslutt dagen i den eventyrlig opplyste g\u00e5rdsplassen p\u00e5 restaurant Foreign Cinema<\/b><\/a>, der det er hengt opp lys over alt. Utenlandske og klassiske filmer projiseres p\u00e5 veggene rundt deg mens du spiser, s\u00e5 husk \u00e5 reservere bord og be om et bord i g\u00e5rdsplassen!<\/p>\n
