We value and promote equality, respect and diversity to help inspire a better world.<\/p>\n<h2>Community Guidelines<\/h2>\n<p>Our guidelines are here to make sure that Hostelworld\u2019s community is fun, inspiring and safe for everyone. They are based on common sense and encourage kindness to all. They are here to help you understand what it means to be part of the Hostelworld online community \u2013 a global backpacker community based on diversity, tolerance and respect.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s important to note, that we are not a customer service team. We don\u2019t have access to your bookings and accounts. We will try and help if we can, but you\u2019ll get in-depth support if you contact our Customer Service Team here.<\/p>\n<p>Whether you are posting comments and content on our blog or joining the conversation on our social media channels, we ask everyone to follow these community guidelines.<\/p>\n<p>We may update them from time to time.<\/p>\n<h2>Hostelworld Community Do\u2019s and Don\u2019ts:<\/h2>\n<h3><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><strong>DO:<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>\u00b7 Be respectful<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Stay on topic<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Be open minded<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Share hostel stories<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Help other backpackers<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Use common sense<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Follow the T&amp;Cs of the social media platform you are using<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><strong>DON\u2019T:<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>\u00b7 Offend or harass anyone, including our team<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Post any type of personal or private information<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Advertise or spam<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Be a troll, or feed a troll<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Post about how to commit any illegal activity<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Be discriminatory \/ hate speech<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><strong>Please do none of the below (not an exhaustive list):<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>\u00b7 Use offensive or violent language<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Post hateful or discriminatory comments regarding race, ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, sexual orientation or political beliefs<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Break the law or condone or encourage unlawful activity<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Violations of copyright or intellectual property rights<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Spam our social media accounts or blog with multiple postings using the same comment<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Contact other users with intent to promote negativity on our channels<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Links or comments containing sexually explicit content material<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Share files containing viruses that could damage the operation of other people\u2019s devices<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Attacks on specific groups or any comments meant to harass, offend, threaten or abuse an individual<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Advertise products or services for profit or gain or promote the services of a competitor<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Describe or encourage activities that could endanger the safety or well-being of others<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Attempt to impersonate someone else<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Contain links to other websites which break our editorial guidelines<\/p>\n<p>Please also check <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hostelworld.com\/st\/hosteltermsandconditions\" class=\"post links\">Hostelworld\u2019s Terms &amp; Conditions here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>If you do breach our guidelines:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>\u00b7 We will remove posts or comments (where possible).<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 We will usually let you know why your comment has been removed and give you the opportunity to share a new comment that considers these guidelines.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 If you ignore our warning, we may block or ban you.
