Smack bang in the middle of Camden\u2019s bustling High Street, the famous Camden Market us home to around 200 different vendors. Stroll along the narrow, winding paths marked out by the stalls and you\u2019ll see everything from boots to badges. Lots of alternative clothing is available here, alongside a plethora of t-shirts complete with witty one-liners. Handmade jewellery, bags and clothes are also available. 2. Amsterdam: Stroll through the Albert Cuypmarkt<\/h3>\n

In operation for around a hundred years, the Albert Cuypmarkt is the most popular market in the Netherlands. Close to the Heineken Experience and only a short tram ride from the city centre, Amsterdam\u2019s favourite marketplace is home to over 200 different stalls. Lining both sides of the street, it\u2019s a great spot to find everything from leather goods to cheap toiletries. Open Monday-Saturday 9am-5pm.<\/i><\/p>\n

3. Bangkok: Wander around the gigantic Chatuchak Weekend Market<\/h3>\n

One of the world\u2019s biggest markets, Chatuchak is a must when visiting Bangkok. Here you\u2019ll come across a staggering 15,000 different stalls, with hundreds of thousands of people visiting it each day. Be prepared to bargain as you wander from stall to stall. Amongst the seemingly never-ending selection of goods on offer you\u2019ll find vinyl records, vintage clothes, furniture, flowers, an enormous selection of handicrafts, and much more. 4. Hong Kong: Spend the evening at Temple Street Night Market<\/h3>\n

That\u2019s not all you\u2019ll be able to buy here, with clothes, watches, DVDs, souvenirs and much more also available. Monastiraki is located right in the city centre and is one of Athens\u2019 best-loved shopping areas. Open daily 11am-11pm.<\/i><\/p>\n

6. Barcelona: Find that elusive first edition at the Mercat de Sant Antoni<\/h3>\n

This market is held inside a beautiful building dating back to 1882, with stalls also surrounding the building\u2019s perimeter. A huge range of goods can be bought here, from clothes and shoes to all different types of food. More unusual items such as comic books and stamps often turn up here too, especially on Sundays when the market really comes alive. Open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10am-8pm.<\/i><\/p>\n

The market at Saint-Ouen has been on the go for almost 125 years. As the largest market of its kind in the world, it covers a substantial 7 hectares. Though it\u2019s billed as an antiques market, that\u2019s not all you\u2019ll find in this hugely popular spot. Clothes and more grace some of the stalls here. Vintage clothing, handmade jewellery, furniture, vinyl records, books, antiques, and much more are all available from numerous vendors. Open on Sundays, November-March 10am-5.3ppm, April-October 10am-6pm.<\/i><\/p>\n
