San Sebastian Restaurants? Well… Known as a city that loves food, San Sebastian boasts a wide array of restaurants and caf\u00e9s serving everything from the traditional tortilla de patatas to filling sandwiches called bocadillos. Pintxos are the local speciality, and you\u2019ll be able to try these in any number of welcoming bars, many of which can be found in the Parte Vieja and Gros neighbourhoods. Here, we\u2019ve put together a list of ten best restaurants in San Sebastian for you to check out #San Sebastian On A Budget…<\/p>\n

1. Bar Iruna<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This is a popular spot for breakfast, and the counters of the bar are covered in delicious and reasonably priced offerings each morning. The well-filled platters boast everything from croissants to tortilla de patatas and much more. As it\u2019s a busy spot, table space inside the bar is at a premium and you may have to share. On sunny mornings, the outdoor tables across the road provide a good alternative. One of the best places to eat in San Sebastian.<\/p>\n

2. Va Bene Disco Burger<\/h3>\n

There are a couple of these Va Benes around San Sebastian, and the one on Blas de Lezo is a good spot to check out if you\u2019re looking for quick and tasty food that\u2019s a cut above the usual fast food fare. The burgers here are handmade and are available with a variety of toppings. Filling hotdogs, sandwiches and more also feature on the menu. The interior is a bit heavy on the Americana but with such delicious burgers at equally tempting prices, you won\u2019t even notice.<\/p>\n

3. Bar Borda-Berri<\/h3>\n

A contemporary pintxos bar, Borda-Berri is run by a dynamic young team and it\u2019s popular with a young crowd. That\u2019s thanks to its mouth-watering selection of pintxos including interesting dishes like their stewed beef cheek and their mushroom risotto. On the boards behind the bar, you\u2019ll also find a list of the bocatas on offer. 4. La Tahona<\/h3>\n

Behind the glass of the long counter inside the door of this popular caf\u00e9, you\u2019ll find a colourful array of tempting pastries and cakes, as well lots of different ice-cream flavours. Past the counter, a collection of tables awaits for you to sit and enjoy one of the treats from behind the counter with a cup of coffee. Fresh breads, fruit juices and more can also be found here.<\/p>\n

5. Ganbara<\/h3>\n

The pintxos served up in Ganbara are some of the most popular in the city and are made from the top local produce from eggs to shellfish. Wild mushrooms are the bar\u2019s signature dish and, while these are at the pricier end of the scale, Ganbara also serves up a great selection of cheaper pintxos without skimping on taste.<\/p>\n

6. Pasteler\u00eda Oiartzun<\/h3>\n

Located at one end of San Sebastian\u2019s popular and central Alameda del Boulevard, Pasteler\u00eda Oiartzun has a number of tables outside where you can sit and people-watch while enjoying some of the delectable treats on offer. Intricately crafted sweets along with cakes, pastries and more can all be sampled here.<\/p>\n

7. Rojo & Negro<\/h3>\n

Above the counter of this well-liked bar and restaurant, you\u2019ll see large pieces of jam\u00f3n (cured ham) hanging from the ceiling. As well as a number of pintxos, Rojo and Negro also offers a full menu. On weekdays at lunchtime, a great value \u2018Menu del Dia\u2019 covering three courses and a drink can be purchased at a very reasonable price.<\/p>\n

8. Santana Caf\u00e9<\/h3>\n

A good spot for lunch, Santana serves up burgers, bocadillos and salads as well as a selection of pintxos visible on platters lining the bar. This cool little caf\u00e9 sports funky art prints and a laid-back atmosphere to complement its tasty food and attractive prices.<\/p>\n

9. Iturrioz-2<\/h3>\n

The brightly lit interior of Iturrioz-2 holds a number of tables along with counter stools where you can sit and enjoy some of the bar’s delicious pintxos. Fresh tuna and succulent duck are just two of the scrumptious dishes on offer. 10. La Bodega Donostiarra<\/h3>\n

One of the best places to head for a hearty feed after you\u2019ve been surfing on Zurriola beach, this restaurant and bar dishes up some seriously appetizing bocadillos. Made from freshly baked baguettes, these delicious sandwiches are filled with a variety of things includes fresh tuna or tortilla de patatas.
