HARUYA Naramachi

Location wasn’t terrible, beds were comfortable and check in was a breeze. (Contactless at the moment) this is not a hang out meet ppl type of hostel but it’s a clean very relaxed place. Shared bathroom and shower.

I had to give this hostel a mixed review. I personally think all hostels in Japan are higher quality than what I’ve experienced in Europe/ North America, so please keep that in mind. This hostel had an amazing price for a private room with a toilet/sink and air conditioning. There were shared showers but they were well-set up and never full. It had fast internet and was an equal walk to the two major train stations in Nara. They also offered lots of little conveniences you could pay for (towels/yakata/litte

This is only for the 8 bed mixed dorm. It's not an isolated a dorm by the way. All 16 beds are in the shed, with 8 pods each floor. The doom is not in the main house. The pod that I stayed in has dusts all over the pod lining and I was having trouble breathing cus I'm very sensitive to dust. Because they built so many pods in the shed, each pod is tiny and if you are clostrophobic definately don't stay here. Also it's like they haven't been cleaning around the sink......maybe years ago it's good
