I enjoyed my stay, but mostly because of the people I met there. The hostel is located up in the mountains, so it can be exhaustive at times to walk up there. The food is delicious and this is a strong point of the place. One thing that bothered me: there were no incenses to repel the mosquitos, which are quite aggressive and can make your trip be very stressful. Besides: don't go walking to the Cacao tour, just take a motorbike. It's 1 hour going uphill and nobody told me that.

Nice staff and guests! The bathroom / shower was clean enough. The food was really good, but pricier than the food in town. The walk up to the hostel was terrible. It’s an okay place for a night if you’re a traveler on a tight budget. The rooms are not great. The “private room” was a little spooky and super dirty. The mosquito nets had holes and there were bugs and bug guts all over the bed.. for the price, I at least expect clean sheets. The power was shut off during the late evening.

Had my purse stolen from the main area and all my money stolen, this was left in the main area in the evening so I suspect the people that work there or the volunteers so not good vibes
