Hyve Hostel Basel

We stayed just one night, because of our flight change, but the hostel was definitely perfect. Clean prepared beds, showers, toilets.. Kitchen fully furnished, coffee and tea available. Big plus for the staff letting us leave the baggage in the hostel for another day (after out check-out). You find here also nice places just to sit and relax or regular gym.

The Hyve Hostel in Basel is a solid budget option near the main train station, offering easy access to attractions and a free Basel Card for public transport. The communal areas are modern and well-maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful. However, dorms are basic, with squeaky beds and average cleanliness. The atmosphere is subdued, making it less ideal for those seeking a lively vibe. Noise from nearby roads can be an issue. Best for short stays

The room itself was clean. My major issue was the level of noise that easily travelled. I could easily hear both the rooms to either side of me, and also people downstairs on the ground floor that were hanging out past 11pm and being extremely loud and noisy. It was hard for me to sleep without earplugs!!!
