Socialtel La Fortuna

No curtains in the bunks. Bathrooms were moldy and had a bad stench the entire stay. Not the most social, but there were some good tours available through the hostel. Staff was very friendly.

They were really helpful in booking excursions and had great recommendations. The rooms and bathrooms could have been cleaner. The beds did not have curtains and there was no proper storage space that would fit a backpack. They also didn’t provide any water, unlike a lot of other hostels. They didn’t have nightly activities so I didn’t find it to be social.

Very nice location. But they charge 3 times the price for breakfast than all the local sodas and a hostel should include free coffee.
