Safestay Bratislava Presidential Palace

absolutely the worst hostel i’ve been to so far. the staff was so angry and unwelcoming! we had a sharing room with 4 others (6 in total), the room didn’t match up with the pictures. no curtains at all. the sheets were dirty! SO HOT. the 24/7 check-in made it impossible to sleep the whole night. we had 2 hours of sleep caused to the rooms condition. we then upgraded to a private room, that was ok. they didn’t have towels or soap or anything.. unsafe location. our food got stolen. so bad!

Good budget accommodation 10 minutes walk from the mail railway station and in walking distance from the old town. Friendly and helpful staff and a nice atmosphere. A bit annoying that towels are not in the room as default, and the breakfast is rather modest. One sheet had a stain, but everything else, including common toilets and shower was ok and clean). We will return because of the location, helpful staff and value for money.

Overall great hostel. Nice common area with bar. There was arranged theme night with board games, movie Night or National dishes. There was clean but in our dorm the lighting was bad. Our big window space was covered by trees and leaves and the lamps did not hang properly and glowed dimly.
