Sunbird backpackers is located in Entebbe town, about 15 -20 Min from Entebbe International airport, strategically located close to Victoria shopping mall, a short distance away from the beaches on Lake Victoria, the famous Botanical gardens and UWEC.

It’s designed as a dormitory style of accommodation, and they are mixed type of rooms, with shared bathrooms. Camping space is available for those with their own tents.

It was horrible. They changed the hostel by email, but they didn’t tell me what was the address of the new one. I sent an email asking about this and they didn’t answer my question. I was lucky that the driver knew the other hostel in Entebbe.

Great place to check in near Entebbe. Walking distance to botanical gardens, restaurants down near the lakeside, a mall and craft market. I was the only one there when I stayed - plenty of space and felt safe. Staff was very nice and respectful. Breakfast included in cost - and it was delicious! Some bugs in bathroom area and no air conditioning but that is to be expected and not terrible at all.
