Bay Surf Hostel is a beautiful and charming social hostel situated in the tropical jungle, only 5 minutes walking from the beach and Arugam Bay's famous surf spot; main point.

We have air conditioned dorms and 2 private rooms.

We offer a 7-day surf camp (with lessons, breakfast, yoga and 2 family dinners included), safari tours and have our own restaurant and bar. The vibrant town of Arugam Bay with restaurants and bars is only a short 6-7 minute walk away.

***Property Policies***
Cancellation policy: 1day before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
Check in from 12:00 noon to 22:00.
Check out before 11:00 AM.
Payment upon arrival by cash.
Taxes included.
Breakfast not included.
No curfew.
Non smoking in the room but have a smoking area.
Reception working period: 08:00 AM~4:00 PM.

worst hostel experience so far. The bathroom was extremely dirty and there was sandy, dirty water on the floor of the toilets. There were two showers in a shared bathroom, which could only be "locked" with a scrunchy and two showers outside that were separated by a rubber curtain. the curtain was so low that you could easily see into the other shower. There were NO BLANKETS, no curtains at the beds and the different dorms were just one big room separated by curtains, so it was quite noisy.

Die Lage ist super. Leider waren Schlaf/Badezimmer nicht wirklich sauber. Zimmer waren weder mit Decken (welche wir auf Anfrage auch nicht bekamen) noch mit Schränken/abschliessbaren Fächern ausgestattet, sodass man alles auf dem Boden ausbreiten musste und Wertgegenstände nicht einschliessen konnte. Ebenfalls war Dusche und Waschbecken im selben Raum. Musste also einer aus dem Hostel duschen, konnten sich alle anderen weder Hände noch Zähne putzen. Der Preis ist dafür aber sehr gut.

Friendly staff. The rooms are separated by curtains only. Two of our group had stuff stolen out of their room and bags here.
