Uros Suma Suyawi Lodge

This was an incredible experience - we loved every minute. It wasn’t only a stay on a floating island, but a whole experience. The family were all so kind and welcoming and made us so comfortable. The facilities were basic, but very clean and beautiful. It was a very relaxing stay. It’s important to know there are a few hidden costs (cost of the boat taxi, cost of dinner) which equated to approx 100 soles. We thought this was fine though, and well worth it.

our stay here was so special and amazing. Javier and his family were so kind and attentive to us, even making us veggie and vegan meals delivered to us each night. This was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable experiences I’ve had on my travels, and great value. The experience of waking up on these islands to the view of the lake is unforgettable

We really enjoyed our stay on the floating islands. It was a unique experience to sample life in Uros, and Javier was a great host. It’s worth noting that there are a few hidden costs that arise: the boat to pick you up, dinner and the entry to the community came to an extra 91 soles for 2 people. We think that should be made explicit on the website. It was still worth it for the view from your room alone, just make sure you take enough money!
