Popoyo Republic es un hostal and bar/restaurante frente del mar, ubicado en playa popoyo, a menos de 10 minutos a pie de los mejores lugares para surfear.

Good location. Volunteers were super friendly. Food was good but a little expensive. Outdoor space was nice. Aircon in rooms worked well. However, kitchen was very ill equipped, beds and pillows were super uncomfortable, ants all in shower, not enough toilets/showers for guests and overall the price was super expensive for what you get in the property.

Best place to stay in Popoyo. Felt like a surfers hostel that had a chilled atmosphere and everyone respected the early risers. Good kitchen facilities and was a bonus having a nice restaurant/bar at the beachfront. Only downside was the poor wifi and that you are sharing one bathroom between 8 of you

If you like ocean sunsets - chilling in a hammock with a cold beer, beach bonfires and delicious food - then this place is for you! Small surf house setting, AC in the dorms, beach bar/restaurant open in the evenings, epic location and friendly staff! Andre is a bright burst of sunshine and super helpful with anything you may need! I would happily return! ☀️
