WORTH EVERY STEP! Yes - it is up the hill so u’ll end up carrying ur backpack for a decent climb. But it’s well worth it: the views are stunning, the atmosphere absolutely great, staff super helpfull and the vegetarian dishes served super yummy. Remember to do the early morning bird-watching tour with the jolly fellas!

The view is worth staying here, the hostel itself not as much. I was in the 4 person dorm, the bed smelled bad and the mosquito net was old and dirty. I wasn’t able to sleep that well. There was only 2 toilets and one sink for the dorms (and common area, which was under them). The food was ok, the seitan in my sandwich was like bubblegum… Around sunset there was nice social vibe but everyone went to bed early, and they closed the common area. For me one night was definitely enough.

Loved my stay in Casa Shane and Casa Wayuu. The hike up is a bit tough so don't bring a large bag or suitcase!! but the view and vibe is worth it (great music every night). A great spot for nature-lovers; be prepared for bugs, animals and cold-water showers. They also provide great services (laundry, transportation, massages), good food (all vegetarian), local tours/activities that you can browse/book ahead on their app, and the staff is super friendly and helpful.
