Solid stay. If you’re looking for the closest hostel to the visitor centre, this is it. 5 min walk. Cabins are huge n cozy w light and outlet and an area to place smaller luggage / items; you can lock them for security. Also secure lockbox for valuable but mine didn’t work. Washrooms always clean. Wifi wasnt the best. Didn’t try breakfast but dinner was meh (7 JOD). Could pay similar for better at a local spot. Would stay again if in Petra!

As many backpackers said, it looks worse from outside than from inside. We were firstly doubting whether we should even enter the building but it was worth it. The bunks are all shared so there are no separated rooms from others, BUT, everyone respected the rules of the sleeping bunks and was nice and quiet when there so we had very comfortable uninterrupted sleep.

This is not a 9/10 hostel. I really think that the comments are not real. 1- you pay for a 4 or 6 mixed dorms but in reality you are with 50 other cabins. 2- the aeration is really poor as they stop the AC constantly. People were smoking in the dorms and there were a cat inside the big dorms. The toilet smells disgusting. 3- The sheets were stained and I saw an employee removing hair from an old sheet with a towel and leave it like that for the next customer. Seriously choose somewhere else.
