Once you're finished soaking up the sun, there's a thriving arts and crafts scene to explore. Wander down to Nelson Market to pick up your souvenirs, or get back to basics and bask in the surrounding wilderness. Nelson International Airport is around 45 minutes by bus from Nelson Central. Hop on the number 1 or 2 to head into the city. To get around once you arrive, take a local bus or rent a bike. The InterCity bus terminal in the centre runs regular services to other big cities if you're looking for onward travel too.
