Great location, the facilties are excellent but this check in process is an absolute awful. If it's going to insist on doing self-check in the computer really ought to be updated, it feels like something from the 80s. Plus it told me I was in room 'superior 63 4 4' which I had to call up and learn meant room 4, bed 4. Like somehow guests are supposed to be able to tell that?

I was in a 6 bed dorm with a group of 5 older woman, which were nice but didn’t seem to care about waking me up at 6am two mornings straight.. ANYWAY the girl at reception and managed to move me for the last 3 nights of my stay. The hostel itself is good just a lack of atmosphere and not very social. Location is super cool in the heart of china town and very easy to access to/from airport/tourist areas.

This hostel is located across several buildings in Pagoda St . The reception / breakfast area is across the street from the sleeping accommodation. No common room and breakfast consisted of corn flakes and a broken coffee machine. I booked a superior 4 bed dorm which was cramped and small. I would hate to see how small the standard room was !! Plus side there was plenty of hot water and WIFI was good. Hotel dirty with cockroaches in shower area Have stayed in better hostels in Asia.

Staff were more interested in chatting and laughing with each other than helping us at check in. Our 4 bed mixed dorm room was tiny and so were the beds, I wasn’t able to lie straight without touching the the ends. The A/C was off in our room and there was no remote to be seen anywhere - when we asked the staff to turn it on one girl threw her pen down, slammed her drawer and stormed upstairs. Even on her return she was still slamming drawers etc like we had massively inconvenienced her.

Our stay at the hostel was terrible. There was a very bad smell in the room. The staff told us the smell is normal but this was not normal!! After spending one night in a smelly room and with really uncomfortable beds, we found a bed bug. We immediately left the room and asked for a new one but they wouldn't help us. We decided to leave and book a hotel at our own expense. They told us would get a refund from the hostel but, we never received it. My recommendation: DO NOT STAY THERE!!

The hostel had no check in desk only a self check in machine. I put my name and booking number in but it couldn’t find my booking. There was a phone by the machine with two numbers to call for help checking in. One of them was an incorrect number and the other one someone answered saying wrong number then hung up. I had no choice but to find and pay for another hostel which cost me $30 but this hostel has still charged my bank account $19 for the night even though I couldn’t get in there.

This hostel is CRAWLING with BED BUGS that ate me and also some other customers alive! It was absolutely horrific and the room had an awful smell too but the staff didn't care at all. After I showed the staff ALL the bites that were all over my face, legs, feet, arms and hands, they were less than helpful. They didn't want to put me in another room, they didn't want to give me any money back (after I had to spend $60 on medication for these bites and see a doctor at the China Town point).
