    Fabulous

Great little quiet hostel, not much around and quite far from the main sights of Tokyo, but still a great place to stay to get away from the hustle and bustle and the train is a convenient minute walk away.

    Fabulous

I would describe this hostel as Spartan, but suitable for short duration stays. The facilities are very bare bones and feel semi-industrial (wood slat structures separating 'rooms', beds that looked to be built by hand, etc), but have the common-use items one would expect. (Toilet, locker, shower, etc) The staff were friendly and I had no real complaints with my stay. Be aware that the nearest metro station, Samezu, is serviced by *local* train lines only and it's easy to get on the wrong train

    Fabulous

Loved the area this hostel was in. It's not in the middle of Tokyo but a quieter area where I enjoyed walking around. The facilities and beds were clean and comfy. I wouldn't recommend here if you are a light sleeper. People would often be talking late at night. They may of been in the private rooms so unaware how loud they were.

There were some things that were pretty frustrating. Some of the staff seemed unprofessional at times, either not really knowing answers to questions or being overly blunt. The beds were pretty bad; big, but essentially sleeping on springs. No soap or paper towels in the bathroom. Not clean. Dust & toenail clippings (YES for real) in my bunk area. Downstairs looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. Free coffee was nice, some of the staff was very kind. But we won’t be staying again. :/
