Make breakfast, lunch or dinner in our fully equipped kitchen and take packed lunches with you on gallery visits to save cash. When you want to impress London's fashionable locals, pop a load in the washing machine so you can mix and match all your coolest (clean) clothes. Summer evening? Location

We’re based in West London, just a 3-minute walk from Hammersmith underground station. From Heathrow Airport, simply hop on the Piccadilly line direct to Hammersmith and you’ll be with us in 40. If you’re coming in to Gatwick, we’re an hour away – take the Gatwick Express to Victoria, then the district line to Hammersmith. King's Cross St Pancras, with trendy bars, and on the winding canal, is also just 30 minutes away by underground. For art and fashion, make a stop at the Victoria and Albert Museum (known locally as the V&A) – which is just 15 minutes on the underground – pop next door to the Natural History Museum or the Science Museum while you're there.

Rooms and Dorms

Choose a room with a shared or en-suite bathroom to get more time in the shower! We have mixed and female-only dorms, too, and your stay gets you free linen and towels. Arriving early in the morning? Drop your bags at our luggage store and go in search of a traditional English fry-up.

Extras and activities

When you’re headed out to the pub, there’s no curfew on our 24-hour reception, so you can always order one 'last' pint! If hunger strikes when you get back, grab a snack from the vending machines. Don’t forget to pick up your free city map from reception to help you find your way around London's historic streets.

I had booked a 4 bed room with ensuite, for my family and it was what I hoped for. I used this hostel for us to explore London and it's a short distance to the underground. The room itself is no frills, no tv ect but that is what I wanted (4 × plates, cutlery and mugs, a fridge, a wardrobe was provided, but bring a tea towel) The hostel itself is clean, surprisingly quite and friendly.

The atmosphere of Abercorn House was more like a hotel than a hostel - simple, all-ages, no socializing at all. The 4-person dorm room was tiny but clean. Very close to a tube station, but the neighborhood itself is far from the city center. Nice staff.

    Very Good

Staff are accommodating. Rooms are clean but the kettles in the common kitchen are not really. Also, the walls are paper thin. Did not realize everyone on the floor heard me singing in the common shower until my husband told me he can hear me eventhough our room was 6 rooms away.😂 Overall, nice hostel with good location but a little bit pricey. I guess anywhere in London could be. Also, you have to pay for wifi. Yes, in this day and age, they are still selling wifi prepaid cards.😅

Really weird place. From my experience not really a backpackers hostel, the people in my room seemed as if they lived there, they’d unpacked all their things in the wardrobes etc. It was fine for one night for work and I’d stay again as it’s cheap, the people were nice enough, just seemed more like a permanent residence than a hostel. If you’re wanting a traveler/party vibe don’t stay here.

We had a private room with an en suite, room was clean and tidy though not enough room to swing a cat. Corridor outside was very loud and echoed when people closed their doors or spoke. Location was great for us for the tube and the Eventim Apollo for a gig.

Plus: Very comfortable beds, very good location, reception open 24/7. Minus: Our room lacked running hot water (which is rather uncomfortable in December...) and heating in the en-suite bathroom; the bedroom was properly heated though. No bedside lamps. No hooks to hang the towels.

The only good thing for this hostel is it’s location. Very close to Hammersmith underground line and very nice area. It’s easy to access everywhere in London. However, there is no free WiFi. In EVERY single place in UK; shops, malls, pubs, streets, and any sort of public place provide FREE WiFi except this hostel. Plus, the staff was not friendly at all.

a nasty fight broke out where one girl got a bloody nose and was screaming a slew of obscenities. Staff did nothing to remove her from the premises, and there was blood on the floor which remained there even up until I left. The bathrooms were lackluster, with cracked toilets and pee sprinkled floors. I was supposed to have a private 2 bed room, but was placed in a 4 bed dorm instead. Customer service was okay enough, but this has been by far the only hostel I’ve felt unsafe in.
