Overview

At Abraham's Hostel we're proud to have a big group of fans, with returning guests saying that they wouldn't stay anywhere else in Dublin! We're in the city centre (and, more importantly, just a 15-minute walk from traditional pub heaven Temple Bar). You'll get a warm welcome from our friendly staff, and the shared kitchen and common room are perfect for meeting other travellers. What's more, we'll give you a continental breakfast, a daily walking tour and nightly pub crawls – all totally free!

Location

Getting here from Dublin Airport is easy. The 747 Airport Express only takes 21 minutes and stops outside. Although we're based on a quiet street, it only takes 5 minutes to reach the most buzzing parts of the city. Grafton Street – Dublin's shopping area – is less than 20 minutes' walk away. As well as high street and designer shops, there are plenty of restaurants and bars. If you're after a real Irish night out, cross the river to Temple Bar – where the sound of live music spills out across the cobbled streets.

Rooms and Dorms

Choose from a good mix of different sized private rooms and dorms, including mixed and female-only dorms. Stay in a private room and you'll get some wardrobe space and free towels. You'll have an en-suite bathroom in all our rooms – including the dorms – luxury! Linen's included, and you can borrow hairdryers.

Extras and activities

We've got plenty of freebies for our guests – including earplugs for you light sleepers, storage lockers and Wi-Fi in every room. Our sociable common area has a free book exchange as well as plenty of board games for nights in. If you need help planning your days out in Dublin, our staff are always happy to chat you through their favourite places to visit and the best ways to get there.

Everything about this hostel was perfect. Aside from the thin walls,I have no complaints. The hostel is a 30 minute bus ride from the Airport with the 747 bus. The hostel is right outside the bus stop and the staff was very kind and welcoming. The rooms weren't too warm and the en-suite washroom was clean and the shower was nice. Unlike most hostels I've been to, this hostel had nice thick pillows. The hostel is also a 4 minute walk to the Busaras bus station! Perfect hostel! Will be staying again

    Fabulous

Great location, very clean, comfy and warm beds, friendly staff and great breakfast spread and kitchen. Downfalls: no curtains on the beds, and security for bags isnt great. The cages under the beds are really awkward and loud, and some rooms dont have them. The storage room is iffy, anyone could open it and take your luggage. Aside from this its a great hostel.

    Fabulous

It's a great Hostel for sure. Location is perfect, it's very clean and has good prices WITH GREAT BREAKFAST INCLUDED!! (Huge plus). The main problem in my opinion is regarding the facilities... I don't know if the walls are too thin but from inside the room you can loudly hear people from the other rooms and also in the hallway, so I couldn't sleep well the 2 nights because of the noise. To make it worst all the doors rooms have to be slammed to close properly, so even more noise to wake you up!

Younger crowds seem to stay here. Seemed to be loud and obnoxious at times.

the bathroom was dirty, and the toilet didn't flush. there was only one window that opened and the room got very stuffy and uncomfortable. the location was amazing very easy to get around and the staff was very helpful. the free breakfast was just okay, but that's to be expected. not the best but not the worst.

    Good

My first and last time ever staying in a hostel. As the location was totally amazing, the hostel itself could really be better. I stayed in a 10 bedroom all female dorm, all the girls were very nice. The bathroom however was not clean and the toilet was hard to flush. It also got very cold in the room which was unfortunate as we only get one duvet. I want to feel comfortable when I come back from a travel day and I did not feel that at all in this hostel.

There was no cold water, so the toilets were not working and the showers literally burned. The staff did not seem to be doing anything about it. The heater of the room wasn’t working either... overall a negative experience.

The toilets didn’t work, I was unable to shower because the water was scalding hot (no cold water), the whole place reeked of dirty feet, the charging outlets didn’t work, and the staff was no help whatsoever. I paid a lot of money for such an awful place and ended up having to pay to stay at a hotel so that I could shower and use a toilet that properly flushed. Definitely worth your while to spend a few extra bucks and stay in a hotel.

Abrahams Hostel says

A lot of people stay here because we've got a great location on direct airport bus routes beside the main train (Connolly), bus (Busaras), suburban rail and tram stations. We're in a beautiful, historic Georgian building with the friendliest welcome in Dublin. We get a great mix of all ages staying here - backpackers, school and university groups, families and couples - and to keep everyone entertained we have a pub crawl from our hostel every evening, a free walking tour every morning and free DVDs/games, plus fresh fruit and eggs at breakfast. We're close to O'Connell St/GPO (0.4 km), Temple Bar (1.2 km), Trinity College (1.2 km) and The O2 (1.3 km), but I tell people they should definitely visit the Guinness Brewery and Kilmainham Gaol.
