This hostel was absolutely astounding. I fell in love with Achmelvich and will be sure to return when I am in Scotland next. The sweetest little hostel I’ve ever stayed at.

Brilliant and buzzing hostel in a stunning location. Great atmosphere, was extremely busy which made cooking fun and resulted in lively conversation and new friends. Facilities great, although hard to get a shower at peak times. Staff were lovely and helpful, accommodation four heavy-laden bikes. And what more could you ask for than a 30 second walk to one of the most beautiful beaches in the UK (the sea was chilly but swim-able at 8am, so refreshing). Thank you for a lovely (but brief) stay.

Amazing get away, right by the beach. No Wi-fi or 4G. The staff are friendly and helpful. Kitchen gets busy because you are so far away from everything but that’s part of the charm. I stayed for one night on the NC500, but this would be a great base to explore the Assynt area

Clean hostel in a lovely location, Ben was really helpful. It was a nice building overlooking the sea. There was everything you need for a nice stay and the rooms were quite private, also it has parking. Great stop off in the NC500.

Small and cozy hostel in a remote location. 5 minutes to the amazing white sand beach of Achmelvich. Staff is super friendly and helpful. No cellphone signal, would recommend for unplugging.

A remote getaway. Cosy and warm, but far from shops and pubs, which was the appeal for me. An amazing base for exploring the wilderness of the North western Highlands. Highly recommended for the adventurous and outdoorsy

The location is beautiful but very remote. Facilities were very very basic: no plugs in the dorm, only one shower for everyone and outside (it was late in the season so rather cold...). However rooms are clean.
