Very nice place to stay. The check in process is rather complicated though especially if you are traveling without cell service. We had to turn on data in order to find the host and get the key which we were then given directions so where we were really staying. Overall a nice little place if you’re looking for simple!

I loved staying in Riomaggiore to visit Cinque Terre. There was luggage storage nearby and we were easily able to visit the other villages by train. The hostel office was very to find. The staff led us very uphill to our room. It had the most beautiful view! I would not recommend to anyone with mobility issues. There were two restrooms for several bedrooms in an apartment. Would recommend!

This hostel is very different from peoples typical idea of what a hostel is, but I enjoyed the atmosphere of the place and how you have a smaller room with fewer people versus one big room with lots of people. It makes it slightly more "home" like. My sister and I didn't have much of a problem with this hostel but other guests who were staying there mentioned the check-in process and the communication between the staff and them could use some improvement.

A bit of a strange place. Very comfortable room with clean facilities. The view from the balcony was great and the mini fridge in the room was a nice touch. Checking in was a bit of a process though. The staff were rarely at the office, instructions were left for us to get into our place. This was kind of fun if I’m honest but definitely a different procedure than usual. Also the wifi did not work at all. Not a single byte.

The location was very walkable however, our room was far (and up many flights of stairs) from the check-in building was. We were under the impression that this would be a hostel, but there weren't any amenities such as a lounge or kitchen. We booked a private 3 bed space which had a queen and a twin only a few feet apart - there wasn't enough floor space even for one suitcase. The bathroom was nice and the place was very clean. The wifi was basically non-existent and there was no cell service.

Walked a very steep slope to the office to get the key and followed the directions on the map to find the room, like treasure hunt. Do not take this as hostel, take it as a kind of airbnb then you will be fine. The heater and wifi are not working.

Very strange hostel. Bunks in lots of separate rooms in an apartment. Had the place to myself which was nice, but subsequently I did not meet the owner or a single person during my whole stay there- keys were picked up from a box and keys and money were left in room for someone to pick up. Overall facilities were ok, the room was absolutely freezing though! Also no kitchen (which I was aware of) but as it is winter there is not much choice for eating out in the village so keep that in mind.

*** SCAM *** The dorm was different than the one published. It wasn't located where it's the hostel. They used a refurbished warehouse as dorm. This owner should be banned or add a warning for next clients.

We stayed in a 4 bed dorm with an en-suite. The dorm isn’t actually a dorm, the hostel is really just a bunch of rooms sprawled across Riomaggiore. There was no kitchen, common room, proper reception etc. when we arrived, the room hadn’t been cleaned. The host continually brought guests through our room to a private one, did not knock, no regard for privacy, made the guests feel very unsafe. The pictured advertised rooms with windows and terraces, although the two rooms we stayed in had none.

As a solo female traveler I would not recommend. There was no one in the office when I came to check in. Never met the staff. They do not respond to emails. Had a room with no heat in the winter and there was no staff available to contact for this. It is a strange setup with bedrooms sharing a living room and a bathroom. There are no kitchen amenities. I've stayed in much better accommodations in Italy for much less. Beds are not comfortable and do not feel clean. Rooms felt sticky and dingy.
