This was a really nice homey hostel in a perfect location. The owner was so incredibly friendly, he had great suggestions and was really helpful! It's A great location to visit the cliffs of moher and the town has a nice cozy atmosphere even though it's a little small. There's a lot of great live music very close by!

This hostel was tucked right behind a tranquil little river. We had car troubles on our way to Doolin and the staff came down to check us in at 10pm. It was such a relief that we were able to keep our reservation. The facilities were super clean and the place felt homey. Wish I could have stayed longer, Doolin is an breathtaking town. If you are looking for a cheap stay, this is your place. Only a 15 min drive from the Cliffs of Moher. Will definitely be coming back.

Great facility, awesome location, super friendly and helpful staff. Fitzpatrick's Bar nearby has great traditional Irish music on Mondays as well as vegan option on the menu. If you plan to ferry to the Aran Islands out of Doolin, be forewarned that these can be canceled on short notice due to bad weather, which would leave you the option to skip the islands or to drive to Rossaveel near Galway to catch a different ferry.

A brilliant hostel!!! Staff were super friendly & went out of their way to help guests!!! Great, relaxed atmosphere. Communal area & fireplace is delightful. Rooms are good. Comfy bed, good shower, spacious bathroom. Very close to pubs & start of Cliffs of Moher walk. No supermarket in town, so recommend bringing stuff you need with you. I very highly recommend Aille River hostel!!

Stayed for trip to cliffs of Moher. Had vehicle for transportation. lovely old farmhouse on a river renovated into a hostel. Rooms where good with ok beds, only part did not like. good kitchen common areas cozy, garden by river was nice. In small town with some pubs easy walking distance. Easy to walk to coastal trail leading to cliffs of Moher. Perfect base to go hike the cliffs or drive to the parking lot. Would recommend a vehicle for Doolin given small spread out nature of town itself.

Friendly welcome and cozy fireside with several spaces to gather. My husband and I were passing through town and only staying one night, so we got a private room instead of the full hostel experience. Huge kitchen with lots of space for guest groceries! Would be happy to stay here again.

Very cool building to stay in. Owners are very kind and helpful people. The location is good for Doolin proper but you will need a bus to get to the visitor's center for the Cliffs of Moher. Breakfast was provided for €1.50

Great kitchen, very big and a lot of tools. Close to the cliffs of moher, so a great plus (you can do a 12km hike to get there one way). Cheap 1,50€ breakfast, pretty basic but due to the price its what I expected.
