Property Description

Whether you want to relax and refresh, connect with yourself and nature, experience community living, learn and teach or meet like-minded individuals, Aloha is the place to be. Start your day with a guided yoga and meditation session in our brand-new Temple, accompanied by breathtaking mountain views. Then read a book, be creative, get involved in one of our many ongoing projects or take a hike to a local waterfall or lookout point. The afternoon can be spent napping, joining or hosting a group class or activity or connecting with others through games, chats or other activities. Evenings offer a chance for us to occasionally come together around a fire and connect through stories and live music. Your involvement in any of these activities, along with many more, is completely up to you. At the end of the day, take a steamy solar-heated shower to wind down.

Our vegetarian kitchen provides three family style meals per day. We take a lot of pride harvesting an increasing amount of our ingredients from our own land as our garden progresses. We consider food a medicine and endeavour to produce nutritionally balanced meals, each one distinct yet just as exciting as the last. We love our guests to participate in our meals, as it is an important part of the community experience. We’re happy to meet special dietary needs; please let us know. Breakfasts are 15.000, lunches are 20.000 and dinners are 15.000. *Please note that our kitchen is not open for use by guests and that there are very limited food alternatives near our place.

We always have a range of projects on the go, including developing our permaculture farm, sustainable building, infrastructure upgrades, creative projects etc. At Aloha, we often attract people who are keen to share knowledge or skills and invite you to get involved in projects and activities that interest you to learn or share the knowledge you have.

The Aloha team consists of a diverse group of partners who manage the project and respond to the needs of the land. We represent different countries and cultures, though we are all united in our desire to protect Nature, to affect beautiful changes in the world and to empower others to do so as well. Through both our day-to-day living and events offered through Aloha, we endeavour to optimise physical, mental and spiritual well-being. We connect strongly with traditional Colombian medicines, and work with a variety of them during our Sacred Medicine Retreats. Other events include permaculture courses, Purpose Spark workshops, yoga and breathing retreats, massage retreats, women’s gatherings, and many more. Please see our Facebook (Aloha Ke Akua Retreat) or website ( for dates and booking.

Whether you stay for a weekend or a month, we hope you enjoy experiencing the various aspects of a lifestyle in tune with Nature, while thriving through the joys of community living.

Much love to all,
The Aloha Family

Beautiful hostel. But remote but that is definitely part of the charm. Once you’re there it is hard to leave, especially because there are interesting projects on the go and hammocks to be laid in. 10/10 view. Phenomenal food. Highly recommend.

Jason & Rike are the warmest hosts and welcome you into their home with the most open arms. The food is absolutely divine! Three (generously sized) vegetarian meals a day for 40K - such amazing value.  The Yoga Temple, with 360° views, is stunning and was one of my favourite places to spend time, both in classes and self practice. In rainy season, the dirt ride up is a little tough, but the moto drivers know what they're doing so no stress. And the view at the top is absolutely worth it. Enjoy!!

This hostel has a magic vibe. If you are looking for a place where to relax and disconnect this is for you. I stayed for 4 days and I always had tasty and fresh vegan meals. They have hot water which is good because sometimes is getting chilly at night. There is a beautiful deck where practice yoga/other activities by your own. The staff is great , the last night that I was there we had a bonfire under the stars... Oh well, I’m not sure when but I’ll be back. Aloha

A truly special place. Rike and Jason made us feel welcome and showed us around the grounds and garden. Loved the morning yoga session! Amazing, fresh, healthy vegetarian food (3x a day) for only 40k COP. We stayed in the private indigenous bungalow that was beautifully made and felt very authentic. Great views of the mountains Awesome cats and dogs :)

A little far from Minca for those who prefer to be close to touristic activities. Otherwise, this retreat is just perfect for the incredible view and the peacefulness of nature. You arrive as guest, but you leave as a family member of this fantastic community. They really created something unique for travellers. And the food.... so delicious!
