This place was so neat! You’re literally just sleeping on a mattress with a mosquito net hanging over it, and there’s about 20 of these in one “room”. You’re basically outside because there’s no doors or anything, but if you feel insecure about your valuables you can leave with the staff. Bathrooms were super basic and showers didn’t really work because it’s the dry season right now. It’s a quick walk to alona beach and there’s lots of bars and restaurants on the way there. I loved my stay here!

Alona Hammocks was a very rustic backpackers. The staff were very very friendly and accommodating which actually resulting in me increasing my stay from 2 nights to 5 nights. Its about a 10 minute walk from the beach, which is not too bad as there are many places to see on the way down. The showers and toilets are outside and there is no hot water, but at with the hot weather in Bohol, this was not a problem. The breakfast was included and my word, it was cooked to perfection!

Cheapest hostel, no frills, but if you're a backpacker looking to save some money, this is your place. Beds with fans and mosquito nets, free (and decent) breakfast, 10 min walk from the beach. There's no doors or real security though but you can give valuables to staff. Chad was great both the man and the cat 👌

They have a kitchen that you can use in case you want to cook which was really nice after traveling for so long, but you have to pay 50 pesos for the gas. The breakfast was very good also. I would stay there again. Not much security but there is not much to worry about.

No social atmosphere, would be cool for the hostel to organize some stuff. The low price gets you a basic bed with mosquito bed and basic facilities. It is what it is and that’s about it. The staff were nice to me and the breakfast was really good, changing daily and served by the staff, I was impressed by that.

I enjoyed my stay here although slept very badly due to the close proximity of bunks and the fact that mine seriously leant over every time I climbed to my bunk...borderline treacherous :') it was VERY basic, but that said the price is amazing for this area, so I suppose that is fair. Staff were pleasant and helpful, but often watching the TV at volume which kinda ruined the atmosphere for me because you can't get away from it. Great breakfast though and gorgeous area, so I'd still recommend it

Staying here is like staying in a large treehouse. Plenty of beds across several levels, but it doesn’t feel overcrowded, so don’t be put off by the large dorm size. Staff even made my breakfast an hour after the allocated time when I was hungover, so that was a bonus. Bathrooms and showers are simple and could be improved, but the place is affordable, worth staying
